DESCRIPTION
Amazon Prime is seeking a hands-on, AI-native Program Manager to systematically eliminate manual coordination processes by building, deploying, and maintaining AI-powered automation tools. This is not a traditional program management role — you will spend the majority of your time building working AI agents and automation workflows, not writing status updates.
Amazon Prime is a core pillar of Amazon's consumer businesses and aspires to be the world's most engaging, satisfying, and loved membership program, delivering profitable growth by improving the Amazon experience. The program serves over 250 million members across 26 locales, with plans for further expansion.
This role sits within the WW Prime Benefits, Pricing & Constructs (BPC) team and will own three interconnected charter areas: (1) building and deploying AI-powered automation tools that systematically eliminate manual coordination workflows across BPC’s identified coordination points, with an initial focus on those that are business-coordination problems solvable without engineering investment; (2) owning a rolling automation roadmap with quarterly releases, measuring adoption and hours saved for every tool shipped, and iterating based on user feedback to drive adoption; and (3) building the automation layer that makes BPC’s strategic programs scalable, ensuring coordination happens through tools rather than manual effort.
As an ideal candidate, you are a builder who thrives at the intersection of program management and AI-native execution, translating messy, manual coordination processes into working automation tools that deliver measurable time savings. You bring hands-on experience configuring AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and no-code/low-code platforms, with the judgment to know when a tool is “good enough to ship” and the discipline to measure whether it actually gets used. You are comfortable navigating a complex stakeholder landscape of 10+ benefit partner teams and driving adoption through relentless iteration and simplification. You think big about how automation can make coordination unnecessary rather than merely more efficient, enabling BPC to scale its impact without scaling headcount.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain AI-powered automation tools that replace manual coordination workflows across BPC's benefit partners, using LLMs, Slack integrations, and no-code/low-code platforms.
- Create automated intelligence systems that monitor cross-team communications, product launches, and roadmap changes across 10+ partner teams, delivering actionable digests to leadership without manual research.
- Build and maintain self-updating knowledge systems (contact rosters, org graphs, metric definitions) that eliminate reliance on tribal knowledge and reduce time spent tracking down owners and resolving data inconsistencies.
- Deploy program tracking and governance automation that nudges goal owners at cadence, flags overdue items, auto-generates progress reports, and detects definition drift across 300+ metrics before it reaches business reviews.
- Own and publish a quarterly AI Automation Roadmap with adoption tracking, hours-saved measurement, and iteration plans for each tool shipped.
- Drive adoption of each tool to target users through demos, onboarding, feedback iteration, and relentless simplification; measure and report impact including tools shipped, adoption rates, and coordination points automated.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Hands-on experience building automation workflows using AI tools (chatbots, LLM agents, workflow automation platforms, no-code builders, or equivalent)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience working with diverse or differing data sets including creating and compiling data into a final distribution for management consumption
- Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered automation (prompt engineering, RAG systems, or agent frameworks)

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding STEM OPT Authorization as an AI Program Manager
Verify your degree qualifies under STEM OPT
AI Program Manager roles typically accept computer science, data science, engineering, and information systems degrees. Cross-reference your CIP code against the DHS STEM OPT Designated Degree Program List before you apply to confirm your program qualifies.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting offers
Every employer hiring you on STEM OPT must be enrolled in E-Verify. Search the E-Verify employer search tool by company name and location to confirm enrollment status before signing any offer letter.
Frame your I-983 training plan around AI delivery outcomes
Generic training plans get pushed back by DSOs. Map your AI Program Manager responsibilities to measurable learning goals, like overseeing model deployment cycles or managing cross-functional ML sprint reviews, to satisfy USCIS requirements for a structured training plan.
Target companies with active AI infrastructure buildouts
Program managers are hired when an organization is scaling, not experimenting. Focus your search on employers who have posted multiple AI or ML engineering roles recently, which signals active project pipelines that need program management oversight.
Use Migrate Mate to filter jobs by E-Verify status
Screening hundreds of AI Program Manager postings for E-Verify enrollment manually is impractical. Migrate Mate surfaces roles from verified E-Verify employers, so you spend your time on applications that are actually available to you on STEM OPT.
Understand cap-gap coverage if your OPT end date falls mid-process
If your employer files an H-1B visa petition before your OPT expires and you're selected, cap-gap extends your work authorization through September 30. Confirm the exact filing and selection timeline with your DSO so there's no gap between your STEM OPT end date and cap-gap activation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does an AI Program Manager role qualify for the STEM OPT extension?
It depends on your degree, not the job title. The STEM OPT extension is tied to your CIP code, not the role itself. If you hold a qualifying STEM degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field, and the AI Program Manager position uses that training, your DSO can authorize the 24-month extension. Check the DHS STEM Designated Degree Program List to confirm your CIP code is included.
What E-Verify requirement applies to my STEM OPT employer?
Every employer who hires you on STEM OPT must be enrolled in E-Verify, full stop. This applies to the specific legal entity employing you, not just the parent company. Before accepting an offer, use the E-Verify employer search to confirm the exact hiring entity is enrolled. A company using a staffing agency or subsidiary as the employer of record must have that entity enrolled, not just the parent organization.
What should my I-983 training plan include for an AI Program Manager role?
Your I-983 must describe how the position provides practical training directly related to your STEM degree. For an AI Program Manager role, that means documenting specific responsibilities tied to your field, such as managing machine learning project delivery, coordinating between data science and engineering teams, or overseeing AI model lifecycle processes. Vague descriptions referencing only general management skills will likely prompt a DSO revision request.
How do I find AI Program Manager jobs that are open to STEM OPT students?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for STEM OPT and visa-sponsored job searches. It filters AI Program Manager roles by employers already enrolled in E-Verify, so you're not wasting applications on companies that can't legally hire you under STEM OPT. Standard job boards don't filter by E-Verify status, which means you often can't tell whether a posting is actually available to you until late in the process.
What happens to my work authorization if my employer files an H-1B petition while I'm on STEM OPT?
If your employer files a timely H-1B petition before your STEM OPT expires and you're selected in the lottery, cap-gap automatically extends your work authorization through September 30 of that year, or until your H-1B start date if it's later. You can continue working for the same employer during cap-gap without any interruption, as long as USCIS has accepted the petition. Confirm your OPT end date and petition filing timeline with your DSO well in advance.
