Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding STEM OPT Authorization as a Senior Servicenow Developer
Filter employers by E-Verify enrollment status
Your STEM OPT extension is void if your employer isn't enrolled in E-Verify at the time of your I-983 submission. Use the E-Verify employer search tool to confirm enrollment before accepting any offer for a Senior ServiceNow Developer role.
Document your training plan around ServiceNow deliverables
Your I-983 must list concrete learning objectives tied to your actual work. For ServiceNow roles, specify deliverables like custom application builds, integration scripting in Glide, or ITSM workflow design rather than vague goals.
Target employers with active H-1B filing histories
Use Migrate Mate to find Senior ServiceNow Developer openings at employers who have previously filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications, so your 36-month OPT runway aligns with employers already familiar with sponsorship workflows.
Benchmark your offer against OFLC prevailing wages
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up prevailing wages for your SOC code and work location before negotiating. Your employer's LCA must certify they're paying at least the prevailing wage, so knowing the threshold strengthens your position.

Find Senior Servicenow Developer JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does a Senior ServiceNow Developer role qualify for the STEM OPT extension?
Yes, if your underlying degree is in a STEM-designated field such as computer science, computer information systems, or software engineering. The role itself must also be directly related to your degree. Your DSO will confirm eligibility when you apply for the 24-month extension through USCIS, and your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify at that time.
What does my employer need to do to support my STEM OPT extension?
Your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify and sign a Form I-983 training plan that outlines your learning objectives, supervision structure, and how the role connects to your STEM degree. They also need to report material changes to your training or compensation to your DSO within five business days and conduct a self-evaluation at the six-month mark.
How do I verify that a prospective employer is enrolled in E-Verify?
You can search the E-Verify employer database by company name or employer identification number before accepting an offer. E-Verify enrollment is a federal requirement for STEM OPT employers, and working for an unenrolled employer puts your extension at risk. Always confirm enrollment status before your I-983 is submitted, not after your start date.
How do I find Senior ServiceNow Developer jobs that support STEM OPT students?
Migrate Mate surfaces Senior ServiceNow Developer openings filtered for employers with E-Verify enrollment and documented H-1B filing history, so you're not applying blind to companies unfamiliar with OPT authorization. Searching by role and location on Migrate Mate also shows Labor Condition Application data that signals an employer's sponsorship track record.
What happens to my STEM OPT work authorization if my H-1B is selected in the lottery but my OPT expires before October 1?
Cap-gap protection automatically extends your OPT work authorization through September 30 if your H-1B petition is timely filed and your OPT is still valid on April 1. You don't need to file separately for cap-gap, but your DSO must issue an updated I-20 reflecting the extension. USCIS provides guidance on cap-gap eligibility on its website.
