Holidays - No More Than Every Third Holiday, Monday through Friday, On Call - Required, Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean, package, sterilize, and store instruments and kits per policy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilized equipment and biological testing.
- Check and restock par level and code carts; monitor for outdated supplies.
- Receive, store, and distribute supplies; coordinate equipment checks with Biomedical.
- Document equipment loss, repairs, and requisitions; order specialty beds as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Sterile Processing training course.
- Certification by a Sterile Processing Association and maintenance of re-certification with 12 education credits annually.

- Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
