Entry Level Strategic Finance Lead Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level strategic finance lead job?
Build a foundation in financial modeling, budgeting, and business analysis through coursework, internships, or project work. Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can structure a problem, work with data in Excel or a comparable tool, and communicate financial insights clearly. Highlighting a capstone project, internship deliverable, or self-directed analysis often gives entry level candidates a meaningful edge.
Which companies hire entry level strategic finance leads?
Companies hiring entry level strategic finance leads right now include DoorDash, Neuralink, and Madison Energy Infrastructure, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level covers high-growth startups building out their finance function for the first time and established corporations running structured analyst or associate programs.
Are there remote entry level strategic finance lead jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are more common at the entry level. About 25% of entry level strategic finance lead openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, making it worth filtering by work setting when you search to find options that fit your situation.
Are these new grad strategic finance lead jobs?
Yes. Many of these openings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates with zero to two years of experience, or candidates whose experience comes from internships and academic projects rather than full-time work. A posting is new-grad friendly when it lists a degree as the primary qualification, accepts internship experience, or does not require prior professional experience in a finance lead role.
Which industries hire the most entry level strategic finance leads?
Entry Level strategic finance lead roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Investment & Asset Management, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026.
