Strategy Director Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a strategy director job in Seattle?
The strongest path in Seattle is building visible experience in the sectors that dominate local hiring: enterprise technology, health systems, and consumer brands headquartered in the region. Roles concentrate in South Lake Union, Belltown, and the Eastside. Candidates who stand out typically bring cross-functional leadership, familiarity with product or growth strategy, and a network rooted in Seattle's collaborative tech and startup ecosystem.
Which companies hire strategy directors in Seattle?
Employers hiring strategy directors in Seattle right now include Amazon, Amazon Web Services, and SentiLink, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's market skews toward large technology firms, regional health systems, and growth-stage companies scaling out of South Lake Union and the Eastside.
Are there remote strategy director jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though strategy director roles are more likely to be hybrid than fully remote given the cross-functional leadership they require. About 41% of strategy director openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. The most remote-compatible work tends to be market research, competitive analysis, and long-horizon planning rather than roles requiring daily executive alignment.
How can I get a strategy director job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is moving up from a senior analyst, associate, or program manager role at one of the region's larger technology or healthcare employers. Companies in South Lake Union regularly hire into rotational strategy programs and chief-of-staff tracks that feed director pipelines. Building a portfolio of cross-functional projects and getting in front of growth-stage startups on the Eastside can accelerate the timeline significantly.
Which industries hire the most strategy directors in Seattle?
The sectors hiring the most strategy directors in Seattle are Technology & Software, E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's concentration of global technology headquarters, major health systems, and expanding retail and logistics operations makes those sectors the consistent source of director-level strategy demand in the city.
