We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Cities and Places buildings team in Orlando, FL. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced architects and engineers to contribute to the design of structural systems across a diverse portfolio of building types, including local government, commercial, mission-critical environments, advanced facilities, and higher education projects.

As a structural engineer, you will independently execute analysis and design tasks under a senior engineer or lead technical efforts for a team of junior structural engineers. This role will also mentor junior team members, manage all aspects of project delivery on projects, and provide quality control reviews to peers. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, code-compliant designs while balancing scope, schedule, and budget.

What you’ll do

• Lead structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, and masonry building systems
• Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications for a variety of projects
• Drive structural coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines
• Contribute to meeting project scope, schedule, and quality objectives
• Participate in project meetings and oversee with construction administration
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the US or able to obtain within 6 months of employment
• 8-15 years of relevant structural design experience in vertical building structures, including steel, concrete, and masonry
• Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS/SAP2000, RISA, RAM Suite)
• Proficiency with Revit and BIM coordination
• Strong knowledge of US building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, FBC, ASCE)
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
• Demonstrated progressive structural design experience including complex projects
• Experience leading projects and small teams
• Exposure to design-build or collaborative delivery methods
• Interest in working across diverse building types and project scales

The base salary range for this position is $105,200.00 to $144,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
