Designed for an electrical engineering student approaching graduation, the Substation Engineer role offers the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in high-voltage substation engineering. The engineer will support the development, design, construction, and operation of new and existing substations.

Responsibilities:- Support competitive proposals and project development activities involving substation engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Support the preparation and review of substation design packages, including physical layouts, material specifications, and construction specifications.
- Review protection and control designs and related electrical studies and reports.
- Develop and review project cost and schedule estimates.
- Evaluate engineering, procurement, and construction alternatives to identify solutions that balance cost, safety, reliability, constructability, schedule, and other project requirements.
- Provide technical support for new and existing substation assets during development, construction, and operations.
- Support the management of engineering, procurement, and construction contracts and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
- Have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.
- Have an understanding of electric-power systems developed through coursework, research, internships, or academic projects.
- Have an interest in high-voltage substation engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Can perform technical analyses, interpret results, and clearly explain and support conclusions.
- Have strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Can manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Work effectively with others.
