Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental and surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team with various tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices. The Surgical Assistant will work closely with both patients and dental professionals to provide exceptional care and support.
Duties
- Assist the Periodontist during procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring all instruments are sterile and ready for use.
- Document medical information accurately in patient records, adhering to medical documentation standards.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Take Radiographs and CT Scans
- Ability to multi-task and Prioritize tasks
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain pre- and post- op procedures and provide comfort before, during, and after surgery.
- Collaborate with the Front to manage patient flow and scheduling efficiently.
- Prepare Correspondence for the patient's General Dentist
- Team-player
Experience
Candidates should possess a background in dental assisting or a related field. Experience with the following skills is preferred:
- Periodontics
- Medical documentation
- Dental terminology
- Aseptic technique

- Four-handed dentistry
- Familiarity with dental systems
