The Dramatic SLP LLC is growing, and we're looking for passionate SLP-As to join our team!

At The Dramatic SLP, we believe in connection over compliance. We are a neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy practice specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and sensory-informed approaches.

We incorporate dramatic arts, movement, music, imaginative play, and authentic connection into our therapy sessions to create meaningful communication opportunities for every individual we support.

We're looking for therapists who think outside the box, embrace creativity, and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of neurodivergent children and their families.

What You'll Do

• Provide individualized speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Implement evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming treatment plans tailored to each client's unique communication needs.
• Incorporate play, movement, music, storytelling, and dramatic arts into engaging therapy sessions.
• Support individuals who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
• Work with gestalt language processors using individualized, responsive language support strategies.
• Support speech sound development, motor speech goals, receptive and expressive language, and functional communication.
• Collaborate with supervising SLPs, families, and other professionals to promote meaningful progress.
• Complete timely and accurate SOAP notes and other required documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and collaborative discussions.
• Create a supportive, affirming environment where every communicator feels valued, respected, and understood.

You don't need to be a performer to work at The Dramatic SLP! We simply love therapists who aren't afraid to be creative, imaginative, and a little dramatic!

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Florida Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license.
• Appropriate educational qualifications for SLP-A licensure.
• Ability to provide services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation for community-based and in-home services.
• Ability to complete required documentation accurately and on time.

Preferred:

• Experience working with pediatric populations.
• Experience with autistic individuals and other neurodivergent populations.
• Familiarity with AAC systems and implementation.
• Knowledge of Gestalt Language Processing and motor speech disorders.
• Interest in play-based, sensory-informed, and child-led approaches.
