Overview
Join our new team as a Dental Practice Manager, where you will lead the operational and administrative functions of a busy dental clinic. This vital role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management to ensure seamless daily operations, exceptional patient care, and compliance with dental regulations. As a key leader, you will foster a positive environment for the team and patients alike, driving efficiency, financial health, and high-quality service delivery. Your expertise in dental office management, dental practice workflows, and team supervision will be instrumental in elevating our practice to new heights.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily business operations, including patient scheduling, billing, and administrative workflows to ensure smooth functioning.
- Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, fiscal management, and revenue cycle processes using systems like Open Dental.
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing leadership in human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and team development.
- Ensure compliance with dental regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and health regulation policies to maintain accreditation and legal adherence.
- Coordinate dental records management and electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.
- Implement practice policies related to administrative support, dental terminology standards, and dental office procedures to optimize patient care delivery.
- Monitor practice performance metrics and utilize data for continuous improvement in practice efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a dental or healthcare practice with strong supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of dental office management systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Open Dental.
- Demonstrated fiscal management experience including budgeting and financial oversight within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and OSHA standards; understanding of managed care and utilization management is preferred.
- Background in dental administrative support with proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and dental terminology.
- Strong leadership abilities to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment; experience supervising clinical team is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing dental records, billing processes, and compliance documentation.
