Talent Acquisition Intern Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a talent acquisition intern job in Chicago?
Chicago's strongest hiring for talent acquisition interns is in the Loop's financial and professional services firms, Fulton Market's technology companies, and the major healthcare and hospital systems anchored in Streeterville and the Medical District. Candidates who stand out combine hands-on sourcing experience, familiarity with applicant tracking systems, and coursework in HR or organizational psychology. Attending Chicago SHRM events and connecting with local recruiting communities adds a meaningful edge in this market.
Which companies hire talent acquisition interns in Chicago?
Chicago talent acquisition intern roles are posted by Elite Dental Partners, Lucky Strike Entertainment, and Health Care Service Corporation and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's employer mix is broad, ranging from global financial institutions and Fortune 500 headquarters in the Loop to high-growth technology and healthcare companies concentrated on the North Side and in the suburbs.
Are there remote talent acquisition intern jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: sourcing, scheduling coordination, and data reporting tasks lend themselves to remote work, while on-site interview support and campus recruiting are typically in person. About 82% of talent acquisition intern openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how many Loop and Near North Side employers have adopted flexible arrangements for recruiting support roles.
How can I get a talent acquisition intern job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through HR coordinator or recruiting assistant roles at mid-size professional services firms, staffing agencies along the Magnificent Mile, or large healthcare systems like Northwestern Medicine and Rush, which regularly bring on entry-level recruiting support. Building a record of sourcing projects through campus HR clubs, completing an ATS certification, and connecting with Chicago-area staffing firms for contract work all open doors before a formal internship is available.
Which industries hire the most talent acquisition interns in Chicago?
The sectors hiring the most talent acquisition interns in Chicago are Food & Beverage, Construction & Real Estate, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's position as a headquarters city for finance, insurance, and professional services, combined with its growing technology and healthcare presence, drives consistent demand for recruiting support talent across these industries.
