Talent Acquisition Intern Jobs in Columbus: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a talent acquisition intern job in Columbus?
The strongest entry point in Columbus is targeting the city's large healthcare networks, regional banks, and mid-size tech firms, which run structured internship programs and hire regularly. Jobs concentrate downtown, in the Easton and Polaris corridors, and around the Ohio State University area. Candidates who stand out typically bring coursework in HR or organizational psychology, familiarity with applicant tracking systems, and any hands-on sourcing or interviewing experience, even from campus organizations.
Which companies hire talent acquisition interns in Columbus?
Employers hiring talent acquisition interns in Columbus right now include NetJets, The Ohio State University, and Superior, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Columbus's mix of major healthcare systems, insurance carriers, and growing tech companies means internship openings appear across both large enterprise employers and regional mid-market firms.
Are there remote talent acquisition intern jobs in Columbus?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Talent acquisition intern work that centers on sourcing, screening coordination, and reporting tends to run remote or hybrid, while roles tied to campus recruiting or in-person interviews typically require on-site presence. About 67% of talent acquisition intern openings tied to Columbus are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the highest remote share at tech companies and staffing firms operating out of the Polaris and Downtown corridors.
How can I get a talent acquisition intern job in Columbus with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Columbus is through the city's staffing and workforce solutions firms, which routinely hire interns with minimal prior experience and provide structured exposure to full-cycle recruiting. Ohio State University's career office and Columbus State's professional development programs also connect students directly with local employer partners. Entry-level HR coordinator roles at Columbus healthcare or insurance employers are another common stepping stone, and volunteering with campus career centers or student organizations adds practical sourcing experience that local hiring managers recognize.
Which industries hire the most talent acquisition interns in Columbus?
Most talent acquisition intern openings in Columbus sit in Education, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Columbus's role as a regional hub for healthcare delivery, financial services, and logistics means these sectors maintain consistent intern hiring throughout the year to support high-volume recruiting teams.
