Talent Acquisition Intern Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a talent acquisition intern in Ohio?
Most talent acquisition intern roles in Ohio require active enrollment in a bachelor's or associate degree program in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Ohio does not require a state-issued license for recruiting or HR intern work. Candidates strengthen their applications by completing SHRM student membership, coursework in organizational behavior or labor relations, and hands-on experience through Ohio university career centers or HR student associations before applying.
Which companies hire talent acquisition interns in Ohio?
Companies currently hiring talent acquisition interns in Ohio include Kokosing Construction, NetJets, and Prime Healthcare Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Ohio's concentration of insurance carriers, financial services firms, and consumer goods headquarters in Columbus and Cincinnati sustains steady intern demand across the state.
Which Ohio cities have the most talent acquisition intern jobs?
Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati have the most talent acquisition intern openings in Ohio. Columbus leads because it is home to a dense cluster of Fortune 500 and regional corporate headquarters, while Cleveland's healthcare systems and manufacturing firms and Cincinnati's consumer goods and financial services companies generate consistent recruiting intern demand beyond the capital.
Are there remote talent acquisition intern jobs in Ohio?
Yes, and more than many fields, since talent acquisition work is largely desk-based and conducted through digital tools. About 63% of talent acquisition intern openings tied to Ohio are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how well the role translates to distributed teams. Sourcing, scheduling, and employer branding tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a talent acquisition intern in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying directly to structured intern programs at large Ohio employers such as Nationwide, Cardinal Health, or KeyBank, which recruit HR interns through Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve, and University of Cincinnati career fairs. Volunteering with campus career offices or student SHRM chapters builds a concrete recruiting portfolio. Lateral moves from administrative assistant or customer service roles also translate well, and completing SHRM's student certification gives candidates a measurable edge.
