Description and Requirements:
This role sits within Lenovo’s Global Organization Development (OD) Team, part of the Worldwide Human Resources organization. Although aligned to OD, this is not an OD specialist role. The scope of work has expanded significantly—elevating the position from Band 5 to Band 6—and requires a professional with deep HR technology, HRIS, and analytics expertise rather than a traditional OD background.
The ideal candidate is someone who began their career in HRIS, understands HR software and systems deeply, and has grown into more strategic HR work with strong analytical and data-driven capabilities. This person will play a central role in building and managing Lenovo’s new enterprise skills framework, including how jobs and skills map, evolve, and integrate across HR systems.
This role is highly analytical, systems-focused, and future-oriented. It requires someone who can look holistically at Lenovo’s HR ecosystem, understand how people and skills evolve over time, and contribute to long-term workforce strategy—including evaluating where automation or AI may replace or augment human skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance talent and OD tools and processes (e.g., Skills Engine, Leadership Assessment & Coaching Platforms, Workday Career Hub) with a strong focus on system performance, data integrity, and user experience.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of Lenovo’s enterprise skills framework, including job-to-skills mapping and lifecycle skills management.
- Support execution of talent and OD programs, including talent planning, succession processes, leadership development initiatives, and annual talent cycles.
- Partner with HRIS, HR, and business stakeholders to align on system actions, process design, integrations, data requirements, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Serve as the OD representative in technical and cross-functional discussions, translating business needs into clear system, process, and vendor requirements.
- Track, analyze, and interpret talent, skills, and program metrics; build dashboards, reports, and insights that drive decision-making and program effectiveness.
- Coordinate project plans, timelines, stakeholder follow-up, issue tracking, and vendor activities to support successful delivery of OD and talent initiatives.
- Contribute to the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of OD processes, tools, governance, and communications to increase consistency, scalability, and impact.
- Support long-term workforce strategy, including evaluating where skills can be augmented or replaced by automation and AI.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Resources, Information Systems/Technology, I-O Psychology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in HR systems, HRIS, talent management, organization development, analytics, or related HR technology roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Human Resources, I-O Psychology, Business, or a related field.
- Background starting in HRIS, with strong understanding of HR software, system configuration, and platform administration.
- Experience in skills management, competency frameworks, or skills-based talent processes.
- Experience managing or implementing an enterprise skills framework, including job-to-skills mapping and lifecycle skills management.
- Strong analytical capabilities — ideally a data-driven HR professional or analyst with exposure to AI-enabled tools.
- Experience developing dashboards, executive-ready reports, presentations, or insights for decision-making.
- Ability to think holistically about HR transformation and how people and skills evolve from recruitment through retirement.
- Experience partnering with HRIS, HR, and technical teams to translate business needs into system and process requirements.
- Ability to evaluate where skills can be augmented or replaced by automation as part of long-term workforce strategy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global, matrixed environment.
- Must be able to work on-site in Morrisville, NC on a 3:2 hybrid schedule.
