How do I get a tax senior manager job in Denver?
Target the employer types that hire most actively in Denver: large regional CPA firms in the Central Business District, private equity-backed companies near Cherry Creek, energy companies headquartered downtown, and real estate investment firms clustered in the Denver Tech Center. Candidates with partnership tax, energy tax, or real estate fund experience stand out in this market. Strong relationships with Denver's local CPA community and a presence in regional accounting networks accelerate hiring.
Which companies hire tax senior managers in Denver?
Employers hiring tax senior managers in Denver right now include KPMG, BDO, and HCVT, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Denver's mix of regional accounting firms, energy companies, and growth-stage private equity-backed businesses creates consistent demand for senior tax leadership at both public and private employers.
Are there remote tax senior manager jobs in Denver?
Yes, though with limits, tax senior manager roles are moderately remote-friendly for advisory and review work, but client-facing and team oversight responsibilities often require some in-person presence. About 43% of tax senior manager openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the most flexibility found in roles focused on federal and state compliance review rather than direct client service.
How can I get a tax senior manager job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Denver is progressing through the senior associate and manager levels at one of the city's mid-size regional CPA firms, several of which promote internally and hire aggressively from the University of Denver and Colorado State pipelines. Firms in the Central Business District and Denver Tech Center regularly hire tax seniors ready for the next step. Building expertise in energy, real estate, or pass-through entity taxation sharpens your profile for Denver's most competitive openings.
