Team Lead – Flower Installation & Maintenance
About the Role
We're hiring a Flowerscape Team Lead to manage a dedicated client list and lead 1–2 part-time crew members on daily flower installation and maintenance jobs. You'll be the person who owns quality on every property — from prepping plants at the shop to walking the job before you close it out.
What You'll Do
- Lead team of 1-2 team members:
- Create Bi-weekly visit schedule
- Perform On-The-Job Training (OJT)
- Work with training team to identify and resolve training gaps
- Team performance evaluations
- Manage your team’s client routes and assign schedule
- Order, prep, and organize flower inventory: pruning, weeding, spacing, watering
- Set and adjust irrigation timers; document updates with photos
- Use mobile apps to track time, log work, job photos, reports, and communicate issues
- Inspect and maintain your company vehicle (tires, lights, oil, daily interior clean-out & weekly exterior wash)
- Review all flower installation/maintenance work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Complete weekly flower inventory and tagging
- Report any injuries or equipment damage immediately
A successful candidate will have:
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Experience in flowers, horticulture, and flower installation
- Clean Florida Driver’s License, comfortable operating a transit van throughout south Tampa
- Advanced knowledge of most landscape annuals and perennials throughout south and west central Florida
- Ability to lead / manage a small crew with respect and clear delegation, communication scheduling, and management
- Comfortable with smartphone apps (Jobber, Company Cam), and job documentation
- Strong attention to detail-- you notice the things others walk past
- Able to work outdoors and lift/carry plants and materials
- Must wear required PPE: safety glasses, work boots, uniform
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
