Technical Delivery Lead Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a technical delivery lead in Texas?
Most technical delivery leads in Texas move into the role after building several years of experience as a software engineer, project manager, or solutions architect, then stepping into delivery ownership on progressively larger programs. Texas employers strongly favor candidates with a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline paired with credentials like PMP or SAFe certification. Starting in delivery coordinator or technical project manager roles at Texas-based technology firms, healthcare systems, or defense contractors is the most reliable path to a lead position.
How much do technical delivery leads make in Texas?
Technical delivery leads in Texas earn a median of about $171,530 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $106,390 for the lowest 10% to over $277,160 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire technical delivery leads in Texas?
Employers hiring technical delivery leads in Texas right now include Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise | HPE, and Juniper Networks, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of large technology headquarters, financial services firms, and federal defense contractors means consistent demand for delivery leadership across both product and enterprise IT programs.
Which Texas cities have the most technical delivery lead jobs?
Addison, Austin, and Dallas have the most technical delivery lead openings in Texas. Austin's density of technology companies and corporate campuses drives a large share of listings, while Dallas and Houston attract demand from financial services, energy sector IT, and large enterprise operations that require experienced delivery leadership at scale.
Are there remote technical delivery lead jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most technical roles. About 40% of technical delivery lead openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the role centers on coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management rather than on-site presence. The portions of the role most likely to be fully remote are program oversight, sprint ceremonies, and cross-team reporting, while client-facing delivery phases often require at least hybrid attendance.
How can I get hired as a technical delivery lead in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a junior project manager, delivery coordinator, or associate technical program manager role at a Texas employer and building a record of delivery ownership from there. Large Texas-based technology and consulting employers regularly hire for associate delivery and project coordinator positions that serve as deliberate on-ramps. Earning a CAPM or entry-level SAFe certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge, and Texas's active healthcare IT and financial technology sectors are particularly open to candidates who can demonstrate hands-on Agile participation even in a supporting capacity.
Where can I find and apply to technical delivery lead jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to technical delivery lead jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Find roles that match your experience and apply directly through each listing.
