Job Description
We’re looking for an exceptional Payment Product Operations Specialist to join our North America Payment Operations team right here in Austin. This is a dynamic position where you will sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Operations. You will be the architect of our scalability in the USD and CAD markets, transforming complex payment hurdles into seamless, automated systems.
This isn't a traditional operations role. It’s for someone who thrives in an environment of fast-paced growth and autonomy, whose simple but ambitious goal is to make our North American payment rails so efficient they feel seamless for our customers.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing:
-
Scale the "Unscalable": Audit our USD/CAD payment routes to identify manual friction. You won't just report on problems; you’ll build the automation and workflow improvements to eliminate them.
-
Bridge the Gap: Act as the strategic connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and Ops teams. You’ll translate technical constraints into operational reality and vice versa.
-
Own the Lifecycle: Lead high-impact projects from initial scoping and data analysis to final rollout. You own the "Go" button.
-
Drive Data-Informed Strategy: Use SQL and LightDash to define and track the KPIs that matter. You’ll prove your impact through metric improvements.
-
Amplify the Team: Act as a key mentor and strategic partner to Senior Specialists, guiding them through complex project delivery, scoping, and execution. Elevating the team's capabilities is a defining part of your impact.
-
SME Leadership: Serve as the North American subject matter expert. When a complex payment incident or a new regulatory shift hits, you are the first-line strategist for mitigation and resolution.
-
Build the Blueprint: Establish SLAs and KPIs for new product features, ensuring that as Wise grows, our quality never wavers.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
-
Experience True Autonomy - We don't micromanage. You own your domain, your projects, and your results. You don't wait for a roadmap; you help draw it.
-
Drive Local Impact with Global Reach - Help build and grow a massive market for a global FinTech leader right here from your Austin office.
-
Embrace Global Scale and Local Culture - Work on problems that affect millions of people globally while enjoying the unique, collaborative energy of the Austin full-stack office.
-
Do Mission-Driven Work - Every manual task you automate and every process you improve directly impacts our customers. We aren't just moving decimals; we're improving the experience of our customers' money movement.
Qualifications
-
Experience: 3+ years in Product Operations, Business Operations, or Process Optimization within a high-growth tech environment.
-
Analytical Powerhouse: You are proficient in SQL and LightDash. You don't just look at data; you find the narrative within it.
-
Execution-Focused: You have a track record of taking mid-to-large-scale initiatives from "vague idea" to "successful launch."
-
Clear Communicator: You can explain a complex technical bottleneck to a stakeholder and a business need to a developer without losing the "why" in translation.
-
Grit: You thrive in the ambiguity of a scale-up. You are comfortable making decisions with 80% of the information and course-correcting at speed.
-
Payments Nerd (Bonus): Deep knowledge of North American payment rails (FedWire, FedACH, FedNow, or RTP) is a massive competitive advantage.

Product Operations Specialist Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product operations specialist in Texas?
Most product operations specialist roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, information systems, or a related field. There is no state-issued license specific to this role in Texas. Employers in Austin's tech corridor and Dallas's enterprise software sector typically look for candidates with hands-on experience using project management tools, exposure to agile workflows, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate between product and engineering teams.
Which companies hire product operations specialists in Texas?
Employers hiring product operations specialists in Texas right now include Aggreko, Axalta Coating Systems, and CHATSWORTH PRODUCTS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of technology headquarters, financial services firms, and healthcare technology companies creates consistent demand for this role across both enterprise and growth-stage organizations.
Which Texas cities have the most product operations specialist jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Georgetown have the most product operations specialist openings in Texas. Austin's dense technology and SaaS ecosystem drives the highest concentration of these roles, while Dallas and Houston generate strong demand through their large enterprise software, financial services, and energy technology employers that maintain dedicated product operations functions.
Are there remote product operations specialist jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, since product operations work is largely analytical and coordination-based rather than requiring a physical presence. About 40% of product operations specialist openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed product teams have become. Roles focused on data analysis, process documentation, and cross-functional program coordination tend to be the most remote-friendly within this specialty.
How can I get hired as a product operations specialist in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a business analyst, project coordinator, or customer success role at a Texas technology or enterprise company, where you already work alongside product teams. Large Austin and Dallas employers like Dell Technologies and Oracle run associate program manager and operations rotational programs that accept candidates without direct product operations experience. Building familiarity with tools like Jira and demonstrating process improvement work in any prior role strengthens an application considerably.
Where can I find and apply to product operations specialist jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to product operations specialist jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across Austin, Dallas, Houston, and other markets. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the ones that match.
