Entry Level Technical Program Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level technical program manager job?
Focus on demonstrating cross-functional coordination, even from internships, class projects, or volunteer work. Employers at this level look for candidates who can track dependencies, communicate between technical and non-technical teams, and keep work moving. Certifications like CAPM or familiarity with Agile and Scrum give early-career candidates a concrete edge when direct experience is limited.
Which companies hire entry level technical program managers?
Companies hiring entry level technical program managers right now include Google, Amazon, and Anthropic, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. A mix of large technology companies, growth-stage startups, and enterprise organizations in healthcare and finance tend to post entry level roles because they have structured program management functions with room for junior contributors.
Are there remote entry level technical program manager jobs?
Yes, though fully remote openings are less common at the entry level than at senior levels. About 30% of entry level technical program manager openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, so candidates who need flexibility still have real options. Hybrid roles are especially common at larger companies that want junior employees on-site part of the week for mentorship and team integration.
Are these new grad technical program manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior technical program manager roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward the requirement, or explicitly accepts a strong portfolio in place of full-time work history. Filtering for those signals helps new grads identify the most approachable openings.
Which industries hire the most entry level technical program managers?
Entry Level technical program manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they run complex, multi-team product and infrastructure initiatives that need dedicated program coordination even from junior contributors.
