Job Description
Quality Solutions Cleaning Service is seeking motivated, dependable, and experienced Floor Care Technicians to join our expanding specialty cleaning division.
This position focuses primarily on commercial floor stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, and restoration. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating professional floor care equipment and understands the techniques required to restore and maintain a variety of commercial flooring surfaces.
We are looking for individuals who can work efficiently, follow established procedures, and consistently deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform professional stripping and waxing of Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) flooring.
- Remove old floor finishes, thoroughly clean surfaces, and apply multiple coats of commercial-grade floor finish.
- Operate commercial floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, high-speed burnishers, and wet/dry vacuums.
- Perform floor scrubbing, buffing, burnishing, top scrubbing, and recoating.
- Complete professional tile and grout cleaning and restoration.
- Perform concrete floor scrubbing, degreasing, and maintenance.
- Assist with commercial carpet extraction and other specialty floor care services.
- Properly prepare floors before restoration, including removing debris, protecting surrounding surfaces, and setting up work areas.
- Mix, dilute, and apply professional cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
- Inspect completed work to ensure floors meet company quality standards.
- Maintain and properly clean equipment after each project.
- Follow assigned work schedules and complete projects within designated timeframes.
- Document completed work using company quality control checklists and before-and-after photographs.
- Communicate project progress, equipment concerns, and service needs to supervisors.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance while working at client facilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous commercial floor care experience strongly preferred, particularly stripping and waxing VCT floors.
- Experience operating commercial floor buffers, scrubbers, and burnishers.
- Understanding of floor finishes, stripping solutions, neutralizers, and proper application techniques.
- Ability to identify different commercial flooring surfaces and use appropriate cleaning methods.
