Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Business Manager
Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
TN approval depends on your degree matching the Business Manager role description. If your title is broad, gather documentation showing the position requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, or economics specifically.
Target employers with recent visa filing experience
Companies with recent visa filings demonstrate experience navigating work visa sponsorship processes. Focusing your search on these employers means you're likely working with HR teams already familiar with visa requirements and documentation procedures, making them more equipped to handle the TN support letter and port-of-entry presentation process efficiently.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsorship-ready employers
Migrate Mate surfaces Business Manager roles from employers already set up for TN visa sponsorship. Search by role and filter for USMCA-eligible positions so you're applying where the infrastructure already exists.
Request a detailed offer letter before the border crossing
Canadian professionals presenting at a port of entry need an offer letter that names your title, duties, required degree, and employer address. CBP officers use this to confirm the role qualifies under USMCA's Management Consultant or Business categories.
Clarify your nationality pathway with the employer early
Mexican nationals must schedule a consular appointment and cannot use the Canadian land-border option. Flag your nationality in early conversations so the employer's HR team prepares the correct documentation set for consulate filing, not a port-of-entry packet.
Distinguish your Business Manager duties from general management
CBP scrutinizes broad management titles because not every management role qualifies under TN. Document that your duties involve analytical, financial, or operational decision-making tied directly to your business degree, not just supervisory headcount.

Find Business Manager JobsBusiness Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Business Manager role actually qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, but the role must require a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business administration, management, or commerce. A job titled Business Manager that primarily involves supervising staff without requiring degree-level business expertise is less likely to qualify. The offer letter and job description need to make the specialty occupation connection explicit.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Business Manager positions?
TN has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and no multi-month USCIS wait. An employer writes a support letter that you present at the U.S. border or consulate—there's no government filing or Department of Labor involvement. The process is faster and more predictable than H-1B. The tradeoff is that TN is available only to Canadian and Mexican citizens, and it doesn't carry dual-intent protection the way H-1B does.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN application?
Your employer provides a detailed support letter stating your job title, duties, required qualifications, the USMCA category your role falls under, and your proposed start date. For Canadian nationals, you present this letter at the U.S. border or port of entry. For Mexican nationals, you submit the letter as part of your application at a U.S. consulate to receive your visa stamp.
How can I find Business Manager jobs that include TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters Business Manager job listings by TN visa sponsorship eligibility so you're not sorting through postings from employers unfamiliar with USMCA sponsorship requirements. Searching on a general job board means manually vetting each employer's willingness and capacity to sponsor, which adds significant friction to the process.
Can I switch employers after starting work on a TN visa as a Business Manager?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to your current employer. Before you start with a new company, they must prepare a support letter documenting your role, qualifications, and job duties. For Canadian citizens, you'll present this letter at the U.S. border or port of entry for TN admission. For Mexican citizens, your new employer will submit the support letter to a U.S. consulate as part of your visa application. Starting work without completing this process puts your status at risk.
