Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Customer Success Consultant
Frame your credentials around management consulting
TN classification for Customer Success Consultants hinges on the Management Consultant category. Your resume and cover letter should emphasize advisory, strategic, and analytical deliverables rather than account management tasks, which CBP officers may view as non-qualifying.
Request an offer letter that names the TN category
Your employer's offer letter must explicitly state you'll work as a Management Consultant under USMCA. A letter that only lists your internal job title can trigger a CBP denial at the border, even when the underlying role qualifies.
Target companies with recent visa filing experience
Employers with recent visa filings have already navigated work visa sponsorship and understand the documentation process. Filtering your job search to these companies helps you avoid employers who may hesitate or lack experience supporting visa-sponsored roles.
Prepare a professional portfolio before approaching employers
CBP and employers both scrutinize whether your background supports a consulting classification. Assemble measurable outcomes from past roles, such as retention improvements or onboarding programs you designed, so you can demonstrate strategic advisory work on demand.
Use Migrate Mate to surface TN-ready employers
Identifying which companies have sponsored TN visas in the Customer Success space takes hours of manual research. Migrate Mate filters by visa type and role so you can spend your time applying to employers already open to sponsorship rather than screening them yourself.
Confirm employer support letter before your port-of-entry appointment
Your employer will prepare a support letter outlining the role details and your qualifications. Mexican nationals should apply at a U.S. consulate and allow at least two weeks for consulate processing, while Canadian nationals can present their documentation directly at the port of entry. Plan your timeline accordingly to avoid delays.

Find Customer Success Consultant JobsCustomer Success Consultant TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Customer Success Consultant role actually qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but the classification depends on how the role is structured and described. CBP evaluates whether the position involves management consulting work, meaning strategic advisory and analytical functions. Roles focused primarily on relationship maintenance or account renewals without a consulting component may not qualify. Your offer letter and job description need to reflect advisory responsibilities to support the TN classification.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Customer Success Consultant positions?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and can be obtained at a port of entry the same day for qualifying roles. H-1B requires a lottery registration, an April selection, and an October 1 start date at the earliest. For Customer Success Consultants who already have a qualifying offer, TN is faster to activate and avoids the uncertainty of the H-1B selection process entirely.
What documents do I need to present at the border as a Canadian applying for TN status?
You'll need a valid Canadian passport, an employer support letter that names the USMCA Management Consultant category, and evidence of your academic credentials. CBP officers may also ask for documentation of prior consulting work. Having a clear portfolio of deliverables and measurable outcomes from past roles reduces the likelihood of secondary inspection or denial.
Where can I find Customer Success Consultant jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa type, so identifying TN-ready employers requires manual research or direct outreach. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, letting Canadian and Mexican professionals search for Customer Success Consultant roles at companies with recent visa filings and experience sponsoring work visas, so you're not guessing which employers are equipped to support your application.
Can a Mexican national get TN status for a Customer Success Consultant role, and how does the process differ?
Yes, Mexican nationals qualify for TN status in the Management Consultant category, but the process requires consular processing rather than a port of entry presentation. You'll schedule a nonimmigrant visa interview at a U.S. consulate, presenting your employer's support letter, offer letter, and credentials for review. Build extra lead time into your start date negotiation, since consulate appointment availability varies by location and season.
