Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems for building construction projects, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and associated mechanical systems.
- Prepare HVAC layouts, equipment schedules, engineering calculations, equipment sizing, design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Develop conceptual and detailed HVAC designs based on project requirements, building codes, and applicable engineering standards.
- Perform site visits and existing-condition surveys to assess building systems and gather design information.
- Evaluate existing HVAC systems and assist with feasibility studies, condition assessments, and system upgrades.
- Coordinate HVAC designs with architectural, structural, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and construction-phase coordination.
- Review drawings, respond to technical questions, and provide engineering support throughout construction.
- Ensure HVAC designs comply with applicable New York and New Jersey building codes, energy codes, and industry standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC design for commercial, residential, or other building construction projects.
