Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an IT Service Delivery
Align your degree to the role title
CBP officers evaluate whether your credential directly supports the Systems Analyst category. A degree in information systems, computer science, or IT management maps cleanly. Unrelated degrees, even with years of experience, draw scrutiny at the border.
Request a support letter before filing
Your employer's TN support letter must describe your IT Service Delivery duties in technical terms, not generic management language. ITSM frameworks, ticket escalation workflows, and SLA governance should appear explicitly so the officer can confirm specialty occupation alignment.
Target employers with active USMCA hiring history
Search Migrate Mate for companies with recent visa filings in Systems Analyst roles. Employers experienced with work visa sponsorship generally move faster and write stronger support letters than those encountering visa sponsorship for the first time.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify IT Service Delivery roles filtered by TN visa sponsorship. Employers listed there have demonstrated sponsorship intent, which shortens the gap between offer and filing significantly compared to cold outreach.
Prepare for port-of-entry review as a Canadian
Canadian citizens can apply for TN status directly at a U.S. land border or preclearance airport. Bring your degree certificate, the employer support letter, and your offer letter. Officers may question roles that blend ITSM leadership with general operations management, so clear job duty framing matters.
Plan for consular appointment timing as a Mexican citizen
Mexican nationals must apply at a U.S. consulate and operate within the annual TN allocation. Schedule your appointment well before your intended start date. Delays in consular slots are common during peak periods, and your employer needs this lead time in their onboarding plan.

Find IT Service Delivery JobsIT Service Delivery TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does IT Service Delivery qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, IT Service Delivery roles typically qualify under the Systems Analyst TN category, which covers professionals who design, implement, and manage IT systems and service operations. The key requirement is that your duties must reflect technical systems work, not purely administrative management, and your degree must align with that technical scope.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for IT Service Delivery roles?
The TN visa has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, meaning you can apply any time you have a qualifying offer. H-1B requires entering a lottery with a roughly 25 percent selection rate and waiting until October 1 to begin work. For Canadian and Mexican professionals, TN is a significantly faster path to starting an IT Service Delivery role in the U.S.
Where can I find IT Service Delivery jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search IT Service Delivery roles filtered specifically by TN visa sponsorship, so you're only seeing employers who have indicated willingness to sponsor. This is more efficient than filtering through general job listings where sponsorship details are buried or absent entirely.
Can my Canadian or Mexican degree support a TN Systems Analyst application?
Yes. CBP accepts degrees from Canadian and Mexican institutions on equal footing with U.S. degrees for TN purposes. Your degree must be in a field relevant to systems analysis, such as computer science, information systems, or information technology. A degree in an unrelated field, even combined with extensive IT experience, can create problems at the border.
What happens if my IT Service Delivery role includes management responsibilities?
TN status applies to specialty occupation professionals, not general managers. If your job description emphasizes team leadership or budget ownership over technical systems duties, a CBP officer may question eligibility. Your employer's support letter should foreground ITSM frameworks, incident management, and technical service architecture to keep the role clearly within the Systems Analyst category.
