Frame your degree around management consulting
TN visa eligibility for Partner Success Managers hinges on the Management Consultant category. A degree in business, management, or a related field strengthens your case. A general arts degree without clear business coursework creates friction at the port of entry.
Target SaaS companies with existing TN infrastructure
Companies that already employ TN workers understand the filing process and are less likely to stall on sponsorship. Search for employers with Canadian or Mexican professionals in customer success or account management roles on their public team pages.
Get your offer letter to name the TN category explicitly
CBP officers review your employer's support letter at the border. If the letter describes your role in generic terms, request a revision that references the Management Consultant TN category and ties your day-to-day responsibilities to that classification.
Use Migrate Mate to find roles filtered for TN sponsorship
Searching general job boards surfaces roles that may never lead to a TN offer. Migrate Mate lets you filter Partner Success Manager openings by TN sponsorship readiness so you spend time on employers already set up to hire you.
Prepare for Mexican consular processing timelines early
Mexican citizens cannot use port-of-entry processing and must schedule a consular appointment, which adds weeks to the timeline. Start gathering your DS-160, support letter, and credential documents before your offer is finalized to avoid a delayed start date.
Carry a complete document packet for Canadian border entry
Canadian citizens can obtain TN status at land or air ports of entry, but CBP can deny admission if documents are incomplete. Bring your degree transcripts, credential evaluations if your degree is from outside Canada, and a detailed employer support letter on the day you cross.
Partner Success Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Partner Success Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
Partner Success Manager roles can qualify under the TN Management Consultant category if your responsibilities center on advising clients, managing strategic accounts, or improving partner outcomes using specialized business knowledge. The classification is not automatic: CBP or a consular officer will assess whether your specific duties and degree align with the category definition.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Partner Success Manager roles?
The TN visa has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and can be obtained at the port of entry in a single day. H-1B visa requires employer sponsorship months in advance, a lottery with limited slots, and USCIS adjudication that can take several months. For Canadian and Mexican professionals in Partner Success Management, TN is typically faster and more predictable.
Where can I find Partner Success Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards do not filter by visa sponsorship type, so identifying TN-ready employers takes manual research. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN-sponsored roles and surfaces Partner Success Manager openings from employers already prepared to sponsor TN status.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a support letter that describes your job title, duties, anticipated length of employment, and the specific TN category being claimed. For Partner Success Manager roles, the letter should explicitly connect your responsibilities to the Management Consultant classification. The letter is not filed with USCIS; you present it directly to CBP or at your consular interview.
Can I switch employers while on a TN visa in a Partner Success Manager role?
You can change employers, but your TN status is tied to your current employer. You need a new TN approval before starting work with the new company. Canadian citizens can process this at the port of entry with a new employer support letter. Mexican citizens must return to a U.S. consulate. There is no portability provision equivalent to the H-1B's AC21 rule.
