INTRODUCTION
Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what we could accomplish.
The Finance Transformation team is evolving from a project-centric delivery model to a product-led mindset, ensuring our internal tools are as intuitive and innovative as the products Apple sells. We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions.
As a Data Product Manager within Apple's Finance organization, you will own the strategy, definition, and delivery of Finance Data Products - the curated, governed, high-quality data assets that power everything from internal reporting and audit compliance to AI-driven forecasting and intelligent business operations.
DESCRIPTION
In Finance, this means transforming raw financial data - transactions, ledger entries, entity hierarchies, forecasts, and actuals - into reliable, well-governed, semantically consistent data products that can serve analysts, machine learning models, regulatory systems, and executive decision-making simultaneously.
This is not a data engineering role, and it is not a business analyst role. You are a product manager who works in data - responsible for defining what data products need to exist, why they matter, what "good" looks like, and how they will be built, governed, and continuously improved.
Critically, you will bring an AI-first mindset to this work - actively leveraging machine learning techniques to automate data quality monitoring, accelerate pipeline development, and systematically reduce the manual effort that constrains Finance's data capabilities today.
This is an emerging function at Apple, which means you will have the rare opportunity to define what it means to be a Data Product Manager in one of the most complex Finance environments in the world - setting standards, influencing architecture, and building a practice that scales across the organization.
Responsibilities
-
Define and own the product strategy, vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for a portfolio of Finance Data Products, including entity master data, financial transactions, chart of accounts hierarchies, forecast data, and operational KPIs.
-
Translate ambiguous business needs into clear product requirements, defining data schemas, quality thresholds, and freshness SLAs.
-
Establish a trusted data product catalog and drive alignment on shared semantic standards and canonical data models.
-
Champion data product reusability (design once, serve many) to eliminate redundant pipelines, inconsistent versions of the truth, and technical debt.
-
Apply machine learning techniques (e.g., anomaly detection, classification, entity resolution, NLP) to data infrastructure, automating data quality monitoring, accelerating high-friction data preparation tasks, and reducing manual validation.
-
Partner with data engineering and ML platform teams to build intelligent pipelines capable of self-healing, adaptive schema management, and automated issue triage.
-
Evaluate and deploy foundation models to improve data discovery, metadata enrichment, and natural language access to Finance data.
-
Mitigate AI limitations and bias risks in financial contexts, ensuring that AI augmentation enhances - rather than undermines - audit trails, regulatory compliance, and data integrity.
-
Establish robust data governance and quality standards by defining and enforcing strict dimensions (completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and validity) through automated scorecards and proactive alerting systems.
-
Collaborate with Finance Controllers and Regulatory Reporting teams to ensure Data Products meet SOX compliance, audit trail obligations, and data retention policies.
-
Drive comprehensive data lineage visibility and implement role-based access governance, balancing the protection of sensitive financial data with accessibility.
-
Drive stakeholder engagement and end-to-end product delivery by acting as the primary accountable owner for your portfolio, bridging the gap between business partners, data engineers, and platform teams.
-
Conduct discovery sessions with Finance partners (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit) to surface unmet needs, prioritize the roadmap, and manage a disciplined, value-driven product backlog.
-
Communicate product status, risks, and decisions clearly to leadership, establishing clear escalation paths when delivery blockers or quality issues put downstream capabilities at risk.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Business-to-Technical Translation: Demonstrated ability to work between business stakeholders and engineering teams. You know how to take business problems and translate them into clear product requirements and feature specifications.
-
Product Thinking: Experience moving beyond requirements gathering to defining user value and outcomes. You understand the difference between delivering a project and delivering a product.
-
AI & Emerging Technology: Interest in or experience with Generative AI, AI agents, or intelligent automation. You are excited about how AI can fundamentally transform business workflows, not just add a chatbot layer.
-
Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence without authority, building alignment across diverse teams including Finance business partners, Engineering, Design, and Data Science.
-
Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using metrics, user feedback, and business data to inform prioritization and measure success.
-
Education: MBA or technical graduate degree is a plus.
-
Domain Expertise: Experience in Finance Transformation, ERP systems, internal tools, or FinTech is highly desirable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in Product Management, specifically within Enterprise, FinTech, SaaS, or Platform organizations.
BS/BA degree required in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Product Lead
Frame your credentials around TN categories
Product Lead doesn't appear by name in TN occupation lists. Your offer letter and credential package must map your role to a qualifying category like Management Consultant or Engineer before you approach any employer about sponsorship.
Target employers with recent visa filing experience
Search Migrate Mate's database to find employers with recent visa filings for product-adjacent roles. These companies already understand work visa sponsorship processes and won't stall on sponsorship because they have hands-on experience managing visa cases. For TN sponsorship, Canadian applicants can present an employer support letter directly at the U.S. port of entry, while Mexican applicants apply through a U.S. consulate—both processes are faster than other visa categories since no government filing or certification is required.
Get your job offer letter drafted precisely
CBP officers at the border assess TN eligibility based almost entirely on your offer letter. It must specify your title, duties, required degree, and the qualifying TN category. Vague language about 'product responsibilities' gives officers grounds to deny entry.
Clarify the TN category with your hiring manager early
Before you reach the offer stage, confirm your prospective employer understands which TN category applies to your role. Mismatches between job duties and the stated category are a leading reason Canadian and Mexican product professionals face TN complications at the border.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers fast
Searching broadly for product roles wastes time when most postings don't indicate TN eligibility. Migrate Mate filters jobs specifically by visa sponsorship, so you can target Product Lead openings where employers are already set up to sponsor TN candidates.
Understand Mexican citizen consular processing timelines
Unlike Canadian citizens, Mexican nationals cannot self-petition at a port of entry and must schedule a consulate appointment. Factor in appointment availability at your nearest U.S. consulate, which can add weeks to your start-date planning after you receive an offer.

Find Product Lead JobsProduct Lead TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Product Lead role actually qualify for TN visa status?
It depends on how the role is scoped and which TN category your employer uses. Product Lead duties that center on strategy, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional coordination can qualify under the Management Consultant category. Roles with a stronger engineering or systems component may fit under Engineer. The offer letter must make that connection explicit, because CBP officers assess the category from the job description, not the job title.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Product Lead positions?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can start as soon as you have an offer and your paperwork is in order. H-1B requires registration in April, a random selection, and a wait until October 1. For Mexican citizens, TN has a numerical limit, but it still avoids the lottery. The trade-off is that TN doesn't allow dual intent, so it's not a direct path to a green card the way H-1B can be.
Can I switch Product Lead employers while on TN status?
Yes, but you need a new TN approval before you start with the new employer. Canadian citizens can obtain a new TN at a port of entry or by filing a change of status with USCIS. Mexican citizens must go through consular processing again. Don't assume the new employer can simply 'transfer' your existing TN, because TN status is employer-specific and tied to the original offer letter.
Where can I find Product Lead jobs that explicitly offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most job postings don't specify TN eligibility by name, which makes filtering manually time-consuming. Migrate Mate is built specifically for USMCA professionals and lets you search Product Lead roles by visa sponsorship type. That filters out employers who only sponsor H-1B or won't sponsor TN, so you spend your time on opportunities that are actually accessible to Canadian and Mexican applicants.
What documents do I need ready before a Product Lead TN application?
You need your degree credential, a detailed offer letter that maps your duties to a qualifying TN category, and proof of Canadian or Mexican citizenship such as a passport. If your degree is from outside North America, a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved organization helps establish equivalency. Canadian citizens bringing documents to a port of entry should also carry any supporting evidence that clarifies the product management scope of the role.
