Travel Coordinator Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a travel coordinator in Vermont?
Travel coordinator roles in Vermont require no state-issued license, but employers consistently expect a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field alongside hands-on experience with corporate travel tools. Earning the Certified Travel Associate credential through the Travel Institute strengthens candidacy significantly. Vermont employers in healthcare and higher education often prioritize candidates who have managed group or institutional travel programs specifically.
Which companies hire travel coordinators in Vermont?
Companies currently hiring travel coordinators in Vermont include Voyage Health, American Traveler, and Healthforce, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's blend of large anchor institutions, corporate headquarters, and hospitality-driven employers means openings appear across industries rather than clustering in a single sector.
Which Vermont cities have the most travel coordinator jobs?
Newport, Burlington, and Morrisville lead Vermont for travel coordinator openings. Burlington drives the largest share, anchored by the University of Vermont Medical Center, major financial services firms, and technology companies, while Montpelier generates demand through state government and nonprofit organizations, and Stowe's hospitality and resort industry supports a distinct stream of travel-focused coordination roles.
Are there remote travel coordinator jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than many coordination roles, since the desk-based nature of travel management translates well to remote work. About 0% of travel coordinator openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader corporate flexibility in the field. Vendor management, itinerary planning, and expense reporting are the functions most consistently handled remotely.
How can I get hired as a travel coordinator in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through administrative or executive assistant roles at Vermont institutions such as the University of Vermont, Vermont State University, or large corporate employers like National Life Group, where internal travel coordination responsibilities often lead to a dedicated coordinator position. Completing the Travel Institute's entry-level coursework and gaining proficiency in a global distribution system independently demonstrates initiative and meaningfully separates candidates with limited direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to travel coordinator jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to travel coordinator jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
