Project Management Coordinator Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a project management coordinator in Vermont?
Vermont does not require a state-issued license to work as a project management coordinator, so the hiring path centers on education and credentials. Most Vermont employers expect a bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field. Earning a Certified Associate in Project Management credential from the Project Management Institute strengthens your application considerably. Candidates who gain experience coordinating schedules or budgets in Vermont's healthcare, state government, or construction sectors tend to move into full coordinator roles most quickly.
Which companies hire project management coordinators in Vermont?
Employers hiring project management coordinators in Vermont right now include Enterprise Mobility, Ryder System, and Schneller, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's largest healthcare systems, state agencies, and technology manufacturers are consistently among the most active sources of project management coordinator openings in the state.
Which Vermont cities have the most project management coordinator jobs?
Montpelier, Burlington, and White River Junction have the most project management coordinator openings in Vermont. Burlington drives the largest share of demand as the state's commercial and medical hub, with the University of Vermont Medical Center and regional technology firms concentrated there, while Montpelier generates consistent openings through state government agencies and Barre and South Burlington add volume through construction and manufacturing employers.
Are there remote project management coordinator jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields. Project management coordination is fundamentally a desk and communication-based role, making remote and hybrid arrangements common. About 55% of project management coordinator openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting strong employer flexibility in this occupation. The tasks most often performed remotely include scheduling, status reporting, budget tracking, and stakeholder communications, while on-site presence is typically required only during active construction or facility-based project phases.
How can I get hired as a project management coordinator in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for project coordinator assistant or administrative project support roles at Vermont's large healthcare systems and state agencies, which regularly bring on candidates from adjacent positions like executive assistant, operations associate, or departmental administrator. The University of Vermont Medical Center and state government agencies post entry-level project support openings that do not require prior coordinator titles. Earning a CAPM certification before applying and building a small portfolio of volunteer or academic project plans gives candidates a concrete edge in Vermont's competitive applicant pools.
Where can I find and apply to project management coordinator jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to project management coordinator jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings updated regularly. Search by city or specialty to narrow results to the roles that fit your background, then apply directly to the positions that match your experience and availability.
