Yes, though most triage registered nurse roles are hands-on and facility-based. About 0% of senior level triage registered nurse openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve telephone or telehealth triage, care management, or clinical quality review rather than direct bedside assessment.
What makes a triage registered nurse role senior level?
Senior level triage registered nurse roles are defined by full clinical ownership, independent decision-making in complex or ambiguous presentations, and responsibility for outcomes beyond individual patient encounters. Expectations include leading or mentoring other nursing staff, contributing to triage protocol design, participating in peer review, and serving as a resource for escalations that fall outside standard guidelines.
