Your work will be essential to ensuring a high-quality, professional, and comfortable experience for both research participants and the internal team, allowing us to effectively listen to the people we serve.
This is an early-career opportunity suited for candidates with foundational experience in research operations, lab coordination, or technical support. While the role is operationally focused, we are looking for someone who is curious, innovative, and excited to help evolve how our lab operates, both in-person and remotely, to maximize its impact across the organization.
This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Study Coordination: Coordinate study logistics and assisting researchers with day-of-study needs such as note-taking during moderated sessions
- Research Output & Session Editing: Support researchers by editing recorded sessions (in-person and remote), clipping key moments, and organizing highlights into clear, consumable artifacts for stakeholders (e.g., highlight reels, tagged clips, supporting materials for readouts)
- Operational Management: Manage lab and research team operations by maintaining equipment, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and ensuring research tools are functioning correctly
- Lab Innovation & Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to improve lab utilization, including new ways to support hybrid research, increase visibility of lab capabilities, and enhance both participant and stakeholder experiences. Contribute ideas for evolving tools, workflows, and lab offerings
- Participant Experience: Handle the end-to-end participant experience by welcoming participants, providing clear instructions, and ensuring a professional, accessible, and comfortable research environment
- Data Management: Assist with data capture by recording sessions, organizing notes, managing secure file storage, and supporting secure data handling practices
- Compliance and Privacy: Ensure compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and research ethics standards when handling all participant information and session recordings
- Process and Documentation: Maintain documentation and reporting on lab usage, study throughput, and operational metrics. Support the research repository by organizing session outputs, ensuring materials are accessible, and enabling reuse of insights across teams
- Collaboration: Collaborate with UX researchers, strategists, and designers to anticipate needs, improve lab processes, and continuously enhance the research experience for everyone involved
You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of relevant experience in research coordination, lab operations, technical support, media production, or a related field (internships or academic lab experience may count)
- 1+ years of experience with video editing or clipping tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Descript, or similar)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a lab setting, research coordination, or a technical support/administrative role
- Familiarity with UX research methodologies and tools (e.g., MUIQ, dscout, survey platforms)
- Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in improving processes, tools, or ways of working
- Demonstrated excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail
- Demonstrated solid technical aptitude with the ability to set up and troubleshoot A/V equipment, computers, and software
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to make research participants feel welcome and comfortable
- Proven proactive and collaborative mindset, with a desire to support a team and improve processes
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and a solid understanding of privacy standards (experience with HIPAA is a major plus)
