This position requires prior veterinary technician experience. Applicants without relevant experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Safely restrain and handle patients during examinations and procedures
- Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Obtain and record accurate patient histories, vital signs, and medical records
- Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area
- Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to provide outstanding patient care
Requirements:
- 1+ year of veterinary technician experience preferred
- Veterinary Technician Certification/Licensure preferred but not required (depending on experience)
- Strong knowledge of animal handling, nursing care, and laboratory procedures
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including evenings
