Vice President Sales Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a vice president sales job in Chicago?
The strongest path into a vice president sales role in Chicago is building a record of leading quota-carrying teams in the city's dominant sectors: B2B technology, financial services, or healthcare solutions. Chicago's Fulton Market tech corridor and Loop-based financial firms prioritize candidates who already manage regional or national books of business. Networking through local industry associations and enterprise sales communities in River North gives a meaningful edge over remote applicants.
Which companies hire vice president saless in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring vice president saless in Chicago include JPMorganChase, Highwire, and TransUnion, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Chicago's hiring mix skews toward enterprise software firms in Fulton Market, financial services headquarters in the Loop, and large healthcare and logistics companies based throughout the broader metro.
Are there remote vice president sales jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though remote availability is limited for vice president sales roles, since the position typically requires in-person client engagement and direct team leadership. About 61% of vice president sales openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at technology and SaaS companies based in Fulton Market and River North.
How can I get a vice president sales job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building up through senior director or regional sales director roles at Chicago's mid-market technology or professional services firms before moving into a vice president title. Companies in the Loop and Fulton Market corridor regularly promote from within, so joining as a senior account executive or sales manager and demonstrating team leadership is the most direct local route. Involvement in Chicago-area revenue leadership communities also accelerates visibility.
Which industries hire the most vice president saless in Chicago?
The sectors hiring the most vice president saless in Chicago are Investment & Asset Management, Banking & Financial Services, and Fintech, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Chicago's role as a hub for enterprise software, financial services, and healthcare technology means demand for senior sales leadership remains consistent, driven by large headquarters operations and a dense concentration of regional offices requiring dedicated sales leadership.
