Job Description:
Team Overview:
The Solutions Engineer, Security is a hands‑on engineering role within the Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) organization, focused on building and scaling security platforms that enable automated detection, response, and risk reduction across cloud and hybrid environments.
This role emphasizes security platform engineering and automation, not day‑to‑day alert monitoring. You’ll partner closely with detection engineering, cloud, infrastructure, data, and risk teams to embed security controls directly into enterprise architectures and delivery pipelines while continuing to grow deep technical expertise in modern security engineering.
What You’ll Do:
- Engineer, integrate, and scale enterprise security platforms supporting automated detection, response, and exposure reduction.
- Design and maintain SOAR workflows and playbooks to reduce mean time to detect (MTTD) and respond (MTTR).
- Implement and support monitoring and detection capabilities across databases, networks, and cloud environments.
- Integrate security telemetry (SIEM, EDR, NDR, DAM, vulnerability tools) into unified detection and response pipelines.
- Build security integrations and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner cross‑functionally with cloud, DevOps, data, and risk teams to embed security into architecture and delivery.
- Evaluate new security tools through proofs of concept and contribute to platform roadmaps.
- Document designs, patterns, and integrations to support scalability and operational resilience.

Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions engineers in Arizona?
Large technology and enterprise employers in Arizona with established visa sponsorship programs include Intel, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, PayPal, and Honeywell. Healthcare technology firms such as Banner Health and Change Healthcare also hire cloud solutions engineers. These employers have dedicated HR and legal teams experienced in H-1B visa and other work visa filings, making them more likely to sponsor qualified candidates.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions engineer roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud solutions engineers in Arizona, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Employers also use the L-1B for intracompany transferees with specialized cloud knowledge, and some multinational firms sponsor TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering classifications.
Which cities in Arizona have the most cloud solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix has the highest concentration of cloud solutions engineer sponsorship jobs in Arizona, supported by a dense cluster of corporate headquarters, data centers, and regional offices for national technology firms. Scottsdale and Tempe follow closely, with strong fintech and software company presence. Chandler is notable for semiconductor and hardware-adjacent cloud roles, particularly tied to Intel's major manufacturing operations there.
How to find cloud solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for cloud solutions engineer roles in Arizona without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by city, such as Phoenix or Scottsdale, and focus on employers with active H-1B filing histories. This saves significant time compared to reviewing unfiltered postings where sponsorship status is unclear.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for cloud solutions engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Arizona's Department of Economic Security does not impose state-level visa requirements beyond federal standards, so the federal H-1B prevailing wage rules set by the Department of Labor govern compensation benchmarks for cloud solutions engineer roles. Arizona State University and University of Arizona produce a steady pipeline of engineering graduates, which means entry-level competition can be high. Candidates with cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud credentials tend to stand out with Arizona employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions engineer jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
