Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions engineers in Indiana?
Salesforce, Eli Lilly, Cummins, Anthem (now Elevance Health), and Raytheon Technologies have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for cloud and infrastructure roles in Indiana. Large healthcare systems like Indiana University Health and Ascension also file sponsorships for cloud engineers supporting their digital transformation programs. Consulting firms with Indiana offices, including Infosys and Wipro, are frequent sponsors as well.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions engineer roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud solutions engineers in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. L-1B visas appear for intracompany transfers at multinationals. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, and Canadians and Mexicans may qualify under the TN visa category.
Which cities in Indiana have the most cloud solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the majority of cloud solutions engineer sponsorship activity, driven by its finance, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors. Bloomington sees demand tied to Indiana University's tech operations and affiliated employers. Fort Wayne and Carmel have growing tech corridors with mid-market companies increasingly hiring cloud engineers. Remote-friendly roles based in Indianapolis often extend to candidates relocating from other states.
How to find cloud solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse cloud solutions engineer openings in Indiana without sorting through roles that don't sponsor. You can search by role and state to surface positions at Indiana employers who have active sponsorship programs, saving significant time compared to reviewing general job postings that rarely specify immigration support upfront.
Are there any state-specific considerations for cloud solutions engineers seeking sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are determined by the Department of Labor using the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson metropolitan area data for most roles, which is relevant because employers must certify they're paying at or above the applicable wage level. Purdue University's strong computer science program creates a competitive local talent pool, but employers in Indiana's healthcare and advanced manufacturing sectors have shown consistent willingness to sponsor international engineers with cloud expertise.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions engineer jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
