Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions engineers in New Jersey?
Large technology services firms and enterprise employers are the most consistent sponsors. Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro maintain significant New Jersey operations and regularly sponsor H-1B workers for cloud-focused engineering roles. Financial services companies headquartered near Jersey City, as well as pharmaceutical and life sciences employers in the Princeton-Plainsboro corridor, also appear frequently in DOL Labor Condition Application filings for cloud solutions engineer positions.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions engineer roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud solutions engineers in New Jersey, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates from Canada and Mexico may be eligible for TN visas under the USMCA. Australians with qualifying degrees can explore the E-3. Those with extraordinary ability credentials may qualify for the O-1A, which has no annual lottery.
How to find cloud solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have demonstrated visa sponsorship willingness, so you can search cloud solutions engineer positions in New Jersey without sorting through postings that exclude international candidates. The platform surfaces opportunities across the Newark, Jersey City, and Princeton hiring corridors, which are the densest markets for this role in the state. Filtering by location and role on Migrate Mate significantly reduces time spent on applications unlikely to lead to sponsorship.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most cloud solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City and Newark generate the highest volume of cloud solutions engineer sponsorship activity, driven by proximity to Manhattan's financial and technology sectors. The Princeton and Parsippany areas are strong secondary markets, particularly for employers in pharmaceutical technology, enterprise SaaS, and consulting. Edison and Iselin also appear regularly in LCA filings due to their concentration of IT services and outsourcing firms with active sponsorship programs.
Are there any New Jersey-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for cloud solutions engineers?
New Jersey's high concentration of IT services and staffing firms means many cloud solutions engineer roles are placed through third-party arrangements, which can affect how sponsorship is structured and who the legal employer of record is. The state also falls within the New York metropolitan prevailing wage zone for DOL purposes, which sets the wage floor employers must certify on the Labor Condition Application. Candidates should confirm whether a prospective employer is filing as the direct employer or through a third-party placement before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions engineer jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
