Which companies sponsor visas for cloud solutions engineers in Wisconsin?
Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee are among the most active H-1B sponsors for cloud and infrastructure roles in Wisconsin. Epic Systems in Verona regularly hires cloud engineers supporting its healthcare software platform. Insurance and financial technology firms clustered in the Milwaukee metro also file LCAs for cloud positions, though sponsorship decisions are made case by case and are never guaranteed.
Which visa types are most common for cloud solutions engineer roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for cloud solutions engineers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. L-1B visas appear occasionally when a multinational employer transfers a cloud specialist with proprietary knowledge. Australians may also qualify through the E-3 visa, which follows a similar specialty occupation standard.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most cloud solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and healthcare technology firms. Madison is the second-largest market, anchored by Epic Systems and a growing university-adjacent tech sector. Green Bay sees demand from logistics and manufacturing companies investing in cloud migration. Waukesha and the broader Milwaukee suburbs also generate cloud engineering roles through enterprise IT departments.
How to find cloud solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters cloud solutions engineer jobs in Wisconsin specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you're not sifting through postings that don't apply to international candidates. Search for cloud solutions engineer roles on Migrate Mate and filter by Wisconsin to see current openings at employers with sponsorship track records in the state, including companies in Milwaukee's financial tech sector and Madison's healthcare IT cluster.
Are there state-specific considerations for cloud solutions engineers seeking sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B workers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role in that specific metropolitan area, so Milwaukee and Madison roles may have different wage benchmarks. Wisconsin's university system, particularly UW-Madison, produces a pipeline of computer science graduates, which means employers in the state are generally familiar with the sponsorship process for technically qualified candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud solutions engineer jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
