DESCRIPTION
Amazon Freight, a key pillar within Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS), is looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our Enterprise Account Management team. This is a customer facing relationship management role within our commercial organization. You will serve as the primary operational partner for Amazon Freight's largest enterprise shippers, owning the customer relationship, identifying systemic issues that impact their experience, and coordinating cross functional teams to drive resolution.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the enterprise customer operational relationship across all freight modes (TL, IMDL, LTL), serving as the single threaded point of contact for your accounts' operational points of contact
- Identify systemic operational defects impacting your accounts using performance dashboards and customer feedback. Quantify the problem in dollars, loads, and retention risk
- Coordinate cross functional teams to resolution: gather customer insights, understand requirements, bring the right internal teams together, align on the path forward, and ensure we deliver. You don't solve problems alone but you own making sure they get solved
- Own the customer facing performance narrative. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews, produce recovery plans during performance degradation, and proactively communicate progress on open issues with timelines and measurable targets
- Own escalation communication to customer executives when something goes wrong: what's happening, what we're doing about it, and how we're tracking toward resolution
- Own internal reporting, including MBRs, account bridges, and leading inspection mechanisms for your accounts. Report out on performance metrics, cost inputs, and customer KPIs
- Influence customer operations to drive optimal inputs that lower our costs. Define what good looks like, measure it, and partner with customers to change how they operate
- Activate structured recovery programs before the customer escalates
A day in the life
Your day starts with account health dashboards, spotting a detention-charge trend at one customer's facilities and digging into its cause. By midmorning you're briefing a customer's regional transportation director on performance, then rallying ops and pricing partners on a structural issue hitting multiple facilities. After lunch you build your MBR narrative, quantifying your team's impact and open items. Later you lead a working session with operations and product on a fix to prevent recurring defects, then close by updating a customer VP on a two-week escalation, showing progress against committed targets.
About the team
The Enterprise Customer Success team is newly formed within Amazon Freight's commercial organization. This team serves as the single threaded relationship owner for our largest customers' operational points of contact. We exist to ensure that every enterprise shipper on our platform experiences the service level we committed to, and when they don't, we coordinate the teams that fix it.

Which companies sponsor visas for enterprise customer success roles in California?
California's enterprise software companies are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors for customer success roles. Salesforce, Adobe, ServiceNow, Workday, and Zendesk have consistent sponsorship histories for enterprise CS positions. Larger cloud infrastructure companies including Google and Oracle also hire internationally for these roles. Sponsorship decisions are made case by case based on role qualifications and business need.
Which visa types are most common for enterprise customer success roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa for enterprise customer success positions in California, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in a field such as business, computer science, or a related discipline. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa. Those with extraordinary ability in the field may explore the O-1 visa.
Which cities in California have the most enterprise customer success sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and San Jose account for the largest share of enterprise customer success sponsorship roles in California, driven by the concentration of SaaS, cloud, and enterprise software companies in the Bay Area. Los Angeles has a growing technology sector with increasing CS hiring. San Diego also sees demand from cybersecurity and life sciences software companies that employ enterprise customer success teams.
How to find enterprise customer success visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles, making it a practical starting point for enterprise customer success jobs in California. You can filter by role and state to see California-specific openings at companies with documented sponsorship activity. This saves significant time compared to manually researching which California employers are open to sponsoring international candidates for CS positions.
Are there any California-specific considerations for enterprise customer success visa sponsorship?
California's prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules reflect the state's high cost of living, meaning employers must pay wages meeting Department of Labor benchmarks for the specific region and role level. The Bay Area and Los Angeles metro areas each have distinct prevailing wage tiers. California also has strong worker protection laws that apply regardless of visa status, covering areas like paid sick leave and anti-discrimination protections.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored enterprise customer success jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
