About the Role
We are seeking a senior-level strategic leader to join our Mobility Paid Strategy & Investment team. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the essential bridge between global performance marketing and APAC growth. You will leverage regional expertise and commercial acumen to shape paid marketing investments that drive significant expansion across our most dynamic markets.
This is a strategy and planning position, focusing on localizing and guiding Paid media strategy rather than day-to-day campaign operations. You will collaborate with global channel leads and executive stakeholders to optimize investment plans for India, Australia, and North Asia. As the primary strategic contact for the APAC region, you will champion local insights to evolve our global investment frameworks and capitalize on emerging growth opportunities.
- Own the APAC Paid media strategy across channels, ensuring alignment with both global marketing objectives and local business realities.
- Advise business stakeholders (Finance, Ops, Product) on how Paid marketing can accelerate adoption, solve strategic problems, or support core product moments.
- Translate business and product goals into cross-channel investment plans, working closely with SEM, Social, Display, Creative, and Measurement teams to ensure flawless execution.
- Review and challenge channel-specific plans, ensuring efficiency, alignment, and that local opportunities or risks are fully considered.
- Provide strategic input to roadmap prioritization, incrementality planning, and budget allocations based on ROAS, LTV, market conditions, and product lifecycle.
- Act as a key regional voice in global forums where Paid investment frameworks, AdTech innovations, or campaign playbooks are discussed.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years in Performance Marketing or Growth Marketing roles, with experience across multiple digital channels and international markets.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to structure and synthesize data into actionable strategy that supports executive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of building compelling narratives across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of ROAS-driven marketing, attribution and incrementality, and financial tradeoffs in growth strategy.
- Demonstrated success shaping Paid strategies that align with broader business or product goals—not just media KPIs.
- Comfort operating as a senior IC, with the ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
- Experience in the APAC region, especially India or North Asia markets, with an understanding of local marketing best practices and media landscape.
- Familiarity with enterprise-level AdTech (MMPs, lift testing, automation platforms) and modern growth measurement frameworks.
- Experience managing or advising on large media budgets across multiple channels.
- Proven experience influencing cross-functional teams in large, matrixed organizations.
Compensation

Which companies sponsor visas for investment roles in California?
Large financial institutions and asset managers with California offices are the most consistent sponsors for investment roles. Firms like BlackRock, Vanguard, Fidelity Investments, JPMorgan Asset Management, and Goldman Sachs regularly file H-1B petitions for analysts, portfolio managers, and quantitative researchers. Venture capital and private equity firms also sponsor, though less frequently than publicly traded financial institutions with established HR infrastructure.
Which visa types are most common for investment roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for investment professionals in California, covering roles like financial analyst, portfolio analyst, and quantitative researcher that require at least a bachelor's degree in a specialized field such as finance, economics, or mathematics. Candidates with advanced degrees may see stronger petition outcomes. The O-1A is an option for investment professionals with exceptional recognition, though it requires substantial documented achievement.
Which cities in California have the most investment sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and its surrounding Bay Area lead California for sponsored investment positions, driven by the concentration of venture capital, fintech, and asset management firms. Los Angeles is the second-largest market, with strength in private equity and real estate investment. San Jose attracts quantitative and technology-focused investment roles. Smaller but active markets include Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and San Diego, particularly for early-stage and growth equity roles.
How to find investment visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters investment roles in California specifically by visa sponsorship history, so you can browse positions from employers who have actively sponsored international candidates rather than sorting through listings where sponsorship is unconfirmed. California's investment market spans traditional finance, fintech, and venture-backed firms, so filtering by sub-sector on Migrate Mate helps narrow results to the segment that matches your background in portfolio analysis, research, or capital markets.
Are there state-specific considerations for investment visa sponsorship in California?
California employers sponsoring H-1B workers for investment roles must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which reflect the state's high cost of living and tend to be among the highest in the country. California also has a large pipeline of international finance and economics graduates from UC Berkeley, UCLA, and USC, which influences the candidate pool employers draw from. Investment roles at registered investment advisers may also require FINRA licensing, regardless of visa status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored investment jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
