Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for investment roles?
Indianapolis-headquartered financial firms are the most active sponsors for investment positions in Indiana. OneAmerica, First Internet Bank, and the Indiana-based operations of larger asset managers like Vanguard and Fidelity regional offices have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for investment analysts and portfolio associates. Eli Lilly and Indiana University Health also sponsor for treasury and investment operations roles within their finance divisions.
Which visa types are most common for investment jobs in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for investment roles in Indiana, covering positions like financial analyst, portfolio manager, and investment associate that require at least a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in investment management. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, which follows a similar specialty occupation standard as the H-1B.
How to find investment visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters investment job listings specifically to employers with H-1B sponsorship history in Indiana, saving time compared to broad job searches. You can narrow results by city, visa type, and role within the investment category. Migrate Mate's database is updated regularly, so listings reflect active hiring rather than stale postings, which matters when you're on a visa timeline.
Which cities in Indiana have the most investment sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the large majority of investment sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of insurance companies, regional banks, and corporate treasury teams. Carmel and Fishers, suburban communities north of Indianapolis, have growing financial services offices that occasionally post sponsored investment roles. Fort Wayne and Bloomington see limited activity, primarily tied to university endowment operations or credit union investment functions.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for international investment professionals?
Indiana does not have a state-level immigration program, so sponsorship depends entirely on individual employers meeting federal H-1B prevailing wage requirements as determined by the Department of Labor. Purdue University and Indiana University produce strong finance and economics graduate pipelines, and some firms actively recruit from these schools for entry-level investment roles that include sponsorship. Candidates with CFA credentials or specialized quantitative backgrounds tend to have stronger sponsorship prospects in Indiana's mid-market financial sector.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored investment jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
