GENERAL PURPOSE:
Supports the organization’s infrastructure by installing and maintaining cabling systems, assisting with server room setup, and providing basic IT support to ensure reliable connectivity and system performance in clinical environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, terminate, and test cabling (Cat6/Cat6A, coax, fiber)
- Set up and maintain network closets, racks, and patch panels
- Organize and support server rooms and wiring infrastructure
- Install and maintain IP-based security camera systems
- Provide basic IT support (workstation setup, equipment moves, peripherals)
- Assist with facility buildouts, upgrades, and expansion projects
- Maintain inventory of cabling and hardware supplies
- Document work and update network layouts
- Ensure system uptime to support clinical operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of low-voltage cabling experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of cabling installation, testing, and network hardware
- Basic IT proficiency (Windows, Microsoft 365)
- Familiarity with cabling standards (TIA/EIA) and IP-based systems preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
WORK ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Work in clinical and facility environments, including confined spaces and moderate noise
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
