Which companies sponsor visas for clinical assistants in Colorado?
UCHealth, SCL Health (now Intermountain Health), Children's Hospital Colorado, Centura Health, and Denver Health are among the larger health systems in Colorado that have historically sponsored work visas for clinical support roles. Academic medical centers affiliated with the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora also tend to have established immigration sponsorship processes compared to smaller private practices.
Which visa types are most common for clinical assistant roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway for clinical assistants whose roles meet the specialty occupation standard, typically requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field like health sciences or kinesiology. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying clinical occupations. Some positions may also be filled through the J-1 exchange visitor program, particularly at academic medical institutions in Colorado.
Which cities in Colorado have the most clinical assistant sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its surrounding metro areas, including Aurora and Lakewood, account for the largest share of clinical assistant sponsorship opportunities in Colorado, driven by the density of hospital systems and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Colorado Springs is the second-largest market, with UCHealth and Centura Health facilities anchoring hiring there. Boulder and Fort Collins also have smaller but active clinical hiring markets tied to regional medical centers and university health services.
How to find clinical assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly for clinical assistant roles in Colorado to see positions from employers who have sponsored visas before. This saves significant time compared to sorting through general job listings where sponsorship availability is rarely stated upfront. Creating a profile also helps you track new Colorado clinical assistant postings as they appear.
Are there state-specific considerations for clinical assistants seeking sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's Department of Regulatory Agencies governs clinical and medical assistant certifications, and some employers require national certification such as the CMA (AAMA) or RMA credential alongside visa sponsorship. The University of Colorado's health science programs and the Anschutz Medical Campus create a consistent pipeline of trained candidates, which means sponsored positions tend to require demonstrable clinical credentials rather than entry-level qualifications. Employers filing H-1B petitions must also meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements specific to the Denver-Aurora and Colorado Springs metropolitan areas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical assistant jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
