Which companies sponsor visas for clinical assistants in Kentucky?
The employers most likely to sponsor visas for clinical assistants in Kentucky are large health systems with dedicated HR and legal infrastructure. Norton Healthcare and Baptist Health in Louisville, University of Kentucky HealthCare in Lexington, and WellStar Regional Medical Center are among the systems that have historically filed work visa petitions. Smaller independent clinics rarely have the resources to manage sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for clinical assistant roles in Kentucky?
H-1B visa is the most common visa for clinical assistants whose roles require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as a clinical or health sciences degree. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying clinical occupations. Some positions may also be filled through J-1 visa exchange visitor programs, particularly at academic medical centers affiliated with the University of Kentucky or University of Louisville.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most clinical assistant sponsorship jobs?
Louisville and Lexington account for the majority of clinical assistant visa sponsorship activity in Kentucky. Louisville is home to Norton Healthcare, Baptist Health, and several large specialty practices. Lexington is anchored by University of Kentucky HealthCare and its affiliated clinics. Bowling Green and Owensboro have smaller but growing medical communities, primarily through regional hospital systems like Owensboro Health.
How to find clinical assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for international candidates and filters clinical assistant openings in Kentucky by visa sponsorship availability. Rather than sorting through thousands of listings manually, you can browse roles from Kentucky health systems that have indicated sponsorship willingness. This is particularly useful for narrowing down employers like Norton Healthcare or UK HealthCare that have the infrastructure to support H-1B or TN petitions.
Are there state-specific considerations for clinical assistants seeking sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky requires clinical assistants performing certain patient-facing duties to hold state-issued credentials, so international candidates should verify their qualifications meet Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure or relevant credentialing body standards before pursuing sponsorship. Academic medical centers tied to the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville often have more experience navigating foreign credential evaluations, making them practical starting points for internationally trained applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical assistant jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
