Which companies sponsor visas for data science managers in Colorado?
Several large Colorado employers have a track record of sponsoring work visas for data science managers, including Lockheed Martin, DISH Network, Palantir Technologies, and Arrow Electronics. Denver-based health tech and fintech firms also hire internationally for senior data roles. Sponsorship activity tends to concentrate in companies with established HR and legal infrastructure capable of managing H-1B visa petitions.
Which visa types are most common for data science manager roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data science manager roles in Colorado, given that the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialty field such as statistics, computer science, or engineering. Candidates already holding L-1A status through an intracompany transfer may also qualify, particularly at multinationals with Colorado offices. O-1A is an option for those with demonstrated exceptional achievement in data science.
Which cities in Colorado have the most data science manager sponsorship jobs?
Denver is the primary market for data science manager sponsorship jobs in Colorado, driven by its concentration of tech, aerospace, and financial services employers. Boulder follows closely, anchored by university-affiliated startups and companies in the clean energy and software sectors. Colorado Springs sees activity from defense contractors with clearance-related data roles, though the volume is lower than in the Denver-Boulder corridor.
How to find data science manager visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse data science manager openings in Colorado without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and job title to surface relevant Colorado opportunities across industries including aerospace, tech, and healthcare. This saves significant time compared to reviewing unfiltered postings where sponsorship status is often unclear.
What should international candidates know about the data science manager job market in Colorado?
Colorado's data science manager roles often sit at the intersection of technical leadership and business strategy, so employers typically expect candidates to hold advanced degrees alongside management experience. The University of Colorado system and Colorado State University feed a steady pipeline of domestic talent, meaning international candidates are most competitive when they bring specializations in areas like machine learning infrastructure, geospatial analytics, or aerospace data systems that align with Colorado's dominant industries.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science manager jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
