Frassati is an elementary school that embraces the Classical Liberal tradition of Catholic education, and is part of the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Schools. Frassati provides an atmosphere where students experience God, particularly through the love of faculty and staff and through the liturgy of the Catholic Church. They develop deep knowledge and understanding of all subject-matter, grow in love and virtue, and are challenged to become the saints God created them to be. Frassati is committed to providing an education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Catholic teaching, and academic excellence, which invites students to love God and others, to develop their unique talents and gifts, and to become lifelong learners.
Frassati Catholic Academy is a regional Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Denver, instead of a parish school. Our oversight comes directly from the Curia of the Archdiocese of Denver and from the Superintendent of Schools.
Frassati utilizes a President-Principal-Assistant Principal model of leadership. The president oversees marketing, enrollment, budgeting, and personnel, as well as acting as the primary liaison to the boards. The principal acts as the lead learner in the building, supporting faculty in the development of their craft, planning and executing professional development, and leading curriculum development and renewal for the classical model. The assistant principal oversees student formation, including behavior support and the development and implementation of learning support plans.
Frassati Catholic Academy currently serves 360 students in grades Preschool through Eighth grade, 90% of the students are Catholic, and 35% of the students are Hispanic/Latino.
THE POSITION: The school Principal is a disciple on mission to spread the Good News, who meets the requirements to administer the overall education program in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Denver, and disciple others within the educational community of the Catholic school to create an "apostolic-friendly" environment that will encourage creative missionary initiative in the school. As the educational leader of the school, the principal plays a critical role in safeguarding and promoting the aim of the school, which is to lead students to encounter and grow as students of Jesus Christ, directing the school's activity, learning, teaching, culture, and formation towards that aim.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The principal is responsible for directing all work of the school to the direction of the Holy Spirit, providing opportunities to students for Catholic growth, and in ministering to students and staff. The principal is responsible for administering the school’s education program, supervising and supporting all teaching faculty, leading professional development, implementing curriculum guidelines and standards, and supporting the work of the school president and assistant principal. The principal is expected to abide by the policies and procedures of the local school, the Archdiocese of Denver, and the Office of Catholic Schools. The principal interacts with and relates to students, parents, school organizations, the Board of Members, and the general public.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The following are considered minimum requirements for persons seeking employment as a principal in the Archdiocese of Denver. A principal hired for a regional Catholic school shall:
- Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043)

- Refrain from the public promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals

- Possess graduate level academic credentials and/or professional background in education, leadership, or related field
- Have previous teaching experience; previous administrative experience is preferred

- Possess a strong, positive, can-do attitude, with a strong bias for action based on realistic, specific, and attainable goals
- Demonstrate good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality

Which companies sponsor visas for principals in Colorado?
Colorado's largest visa sponsors for principal-level roles include Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, Raytheon Intelligence and Space in Aurora, Google and Amazon in the Denver-Boulder corridor, and the University of Colorado system. These employers have established H-1B sponsorship programs and regularly file for senior technical and leadership positions that fall under the principal designation.
Which visa types are most common for principal roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa for principal roles in Colorado, particularly for principal engineers, principal scientists, and principal architects, since these positions typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field. The O-1A is increasingly used for principal researchers and senior technical leads who can demonstrate extraordinary ability. Some principals at multinational firms transfer on L-1A visas.
Which cities in Colorado have the most principal sponsorship jobs?
Denver has the highest concentration of principal-level visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado, driven by its large tech, aerospace, and healthcare sectors. Boulder follows closely, anchored by University of Colorado affiliates, national laboratories like NIST and NCAR, and a dense cluster of software companies. Colorado Springs adds significant volume through defense contractors and cybersecurity firms headquartered near Peterson Space Force Base.
How to find principal visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for principal roles in Colorado without wading through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and job title to surface opportunities at Colorado employers actively hiring at the principal level. This saves time compared to manually reviewing individual company career pages for sponsorship eligibility.
Are there state-specific considerations for principal visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Colorado's strong aerospace and defense industry means many principal roles require security clearances, which can complicate or delay visa sponsorship since clearances are not available to non-U.S. persons. Candidates targeting cleared positions should focus on employers with unclassified principal tracks. Colorado's active university and national laboratory sector, including NREL, NOAA, and CU campuses, offers principal research roles through cap-exempt H-1B filings, which are not subject to the annual lottery.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored principal jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
