INTRODUCTION
The School of Business at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor In-Residence, with primary responsibilities in teaching, service, and outreach at the University’s Storrs campus in the area of entrepreneurship to begin in Fall 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to share a deep commitment to effective instruction primarily at the undergraduate level, to the development of innovative courses, and to the mentoring of students in their professional development. Duties include a university-standard in-residence teaching load of 21 credits (equal to 70% of workload) per academic year, some of which may be assigned at a regional campus. In addition, individuals will be expected to contribute to scholarship (10% of workload) and service/outreach (20% of workload) targeted at the professional community to maintain faculty qualifications under AACSB guidelines. Successful candidates will also be expected to broaden participation among members of underrepresented groups; demonstrate, through their activities, the richness of diversity in the learning experience; integrate multicultural experiences into instructional methods; and contribute to the development of pedagogical techniques designed to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and intellectual interests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Earned Ph.D. in Management or related field, with dissertation defended by August 23, 2026.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise students in learning projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Earned a PhD from an AACSB-accredited institution.
- Experience in the field of entrepreneurship.
- Experience teaching undergraduate and MBA courses in entrepreneurship.
- A demonstrated publication record or evidence of a promising publication pipeline.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and collegiality.
- Proven ability to contribute to departmental excellence through teaching, service and outreach, and/or research.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, nine-month, end-date non-tenure track position with the possibility of annual reappointment, contingent upon positive annual reviews and program funding, and may lead to a multi-year appointment. The anticipated start date is August 23, 2026. The successful candidate’s primary academic appointment will be at the University’s Storrs campus, with the possibility of assignment at the University’s regional campuses. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
