Which companies sponsor visas for assistant operations managers in Florida?
Florida employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for operations roles include Ryder System, Norwegian Cruise Line, Amazon, Darden Restaurants, and Chewy, which operates a large fulfillment presence in the state. Logistics companies tied to Miami's international trade corridors and Orlando's hospitality sector also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data for operations management positions.
Which visa types are most common for assistant operations manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for assistant operations managers in Florida, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as supply chain management, business administration, or industrial engineering. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, and Canadian and Mexican nationals should explore the TN visa under the USMCA, which covers management roles meeting the specialty occupation standard.
Which cities in Florida have the most assistant operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads due to its concentration of logistics, freight forwarding, and international trade companies connected to Port Everglades and Miami International Airport. Tampa is a strong second, with manufacturing, distribution, and healthcare operations employers active in Hillsborough County. Orlando rounds out the top three, driven by hospitality giants and theme park operators with large, complex operations requiring supervisory management talent.
How to find assistant operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, making it practical to search assistant operations manager positions across Florida without sorting through employers who won't sponsor. You can narrow results by city, letting you focus on Miami, Tampa, or Orlando depending on your target industry. Migrate Mate also surfaces employers with prior H-1B sponsorship history, which helps you prioritize applications.
Are there state-specific considerations for assistant operations managers pursuing sponsorship in Florida?
Florida's no state income tax environment makes it attractive for international candidates evaluating total compensation, though this does not affect the federal visa sponsorship process. The state's port economy and tourism industry create demand for operations talent year-round, and several Florida universities including the University of Florida and Florida International University produce supply chain graduates who enter the local job market, making the candidate pool competitive for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant operations manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
