Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for assistant operations managers?
Large employers with established immigration programs are the most consistent sponsors. In Indiana, that includes companies like Eli Lilly, Cummins, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, and major logistics operators with distribution centers in the Indianapolis metro. Healthcare systems such as IU Health and Ascension also hire operations management professionals and have sponsored work visas for qualified international candidates in operational roles.
Which visa types are most common for assistant operations manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for assistant operations manager positions, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, supply chain management, or industrial engineering. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship qualify for TN visa status under the management consultant or engineer categories. Candidates already holding L-1 visas through multinational employers may also transfer into Indiana-based roles.
Which Indiana cities have the most assistant operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis is by far the most active market, driven by its concentration of logistics, healthcare, and manufacturing employers. Fort Wayne has a notable manufacturing base, particularly in automotive components and defense-related industries. Columbus, Indiana draws operations talent due to Cummins' global headquarters presence. Bloomington and South Bend each have smaller but active markets tied to university-adjacent employers and regional healthcare systems.

Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search assistant operations manager roles in Indiana without sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. The platform is built for international candidates, making it straightforward to identify Indiana employers actively hiring for this role who have a track record of supporting work visa applications. Start your search on Migrate Mate to focus your effort on realistic opportunities.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for assistant operations managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's strong manufacturing and logistics sectors mean many assistant operations manager roles are tied to production schedules and supply chain functions, which can affect how employers classify the position for H-1B specialty occupation purposes. Employers must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the role and location. Indiana's lower cost of living relative to coastal markets means prevailing wage benchmarks are set accordingly, which can influence how employers structure compensation packages for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant operations manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
