Which companies sponsor visas for assistant operations managers in Ohio?
Large Ohio employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories in operations roles include Procter & Gamble, Amazon fulfillment centers, Cardinal Health, and JPMorgan Chase's Columbus operations. Major healthcare systems like Cleveland Clinic and OhioHealth also sponsor operations management roles. Manufacturing and logistics companies along the I-70 and I-75 corridors are particularly active, given the state's concentration of distribution and supply chain facilities.
Which visa types are most common for assistant operations manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for assistant operations manager positions in Ohio, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, supply chain management, or industrial engineering. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under the TN visa in the management consultant category. Employers typically file Labor Condition Applications with the Department of Labor before sponsoring candidates.
Which cities in Ohio have the most assistant operations manager sponsorship jobs?
Columbus generates the highest volume of assistant operations manager openings with visa sponsorship, driven by its Amazon, Cardinal Health, and financial services presence. Cincinnati is a strong secondary market due to Procter & Gamble and a dense manufacturing base. Cleveland adds healthcare and industrial opportunities through Cleveland Clinic and manufacturing employers. Dayton and Toledo contribute logistics and aerospace-adjacent roles, particularly near major highway and rail corridors.
How to find assistant operations manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters assistant operations manager listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can search Ohio postings without manually screening out roles that don't offer sponsorship. Migrate Mate aggregates openings across Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland employers with verified sponsorship histories in operations management. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to reviewing general job postings that rarely surface sponsorship details upfront.
Are there state-specific considerations for assistant operations manager sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are tied to the specific metropolitan statistical area where the job is located, so Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland each have distinct prevailing wage levels that employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application. Ohio's concentration of Midwest distribution and logistics infrastructure also means some assistant operations manager roles are classified under supply chain or industrial engineering specialty occupations, which can affect how employers document the position's degree requirements for USCIS.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant operations manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
