Which companies sponsor visas for clinical support associates in Florida?
Florida's largest health systems are the most active sponsors for clinical support associate roles. AdventHealth, HCA Healthcare, Baptist Health South Florida, Orlando Health, and Tampa General Hospital have all sponsored work visas for clinical support staff. Larger hospital networks tend to have dedicated immigration support teams, making them more experienced with the sponsorship process than smaller clinics or private practices.
Which visa types are most common for clinical support associate roles in Florida?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for clinical support associates whose roles require a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as health sciences or a related discipline. Some positions may qualify under TN visa status for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT may also find Florida employers willing to bridge to H-1B sponsorship.
Which cities in Florida have the most clinical support associate sponsorship jobs?
Orlando and Tampa generate the highest volume of clinical support associate sponsorship opportunities, driven by large hospital campuses and growing outpatient networks. Miami and Fort Lauderdale follow closely, with significant demand from health systems serving diverse patient populations. Jacksonville, home to Mayo Clinic's Florida campus, is also a notable hub for sponsored clinical roles, particularly for candidates with specialized clinical backgrounds.
How to find clinical support associate visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for clinical support associate roles in Florida without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. Use Migrate Mate to narrow results by location, filtering for cities like Orlando, Tampa, or Miami where sponsoring health systems are concentrated. Setting up alerts for new Florida clinical support listings helps you apply early, which matters with sponsored roles.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for clinical support associate sponsorship?
Florida's high volume of teaching hospitals and academic medical centers, including those affiliated with the University of Florida, University of Miami, and USF Health, can be advantageous for internationally trained candidates. These institutions often have more structured sponsorship processes. Florida also has no state income tax, which affects the prevailing wage analysis employers must complete when filing a Labor Condition Application for H-1B positions, though the federal prevailing wage standards still apply.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored clinical support associate jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
