Which companies sponsor visas for EHS managers in Florida?
Florida's largest EHS manager visa sponsors tend to come from aerospace and defense, chemical manufacturing, and large construction firms. Companies like Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Honeywell in various Florida locations, and major hospital networks have filed H-1B and PERM applications for EHS professionals. Large multi-site employers with federal contracts are generally the most consistent sponsors, as they maintain dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to manage the process.
Which visa types are most common for EHS manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for EHS manager roles in Florida, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or a closely related field. Some employers also pursue permanent residency through EB-3 for experienced candidates. TN status can apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose qualifications align with designated USMCA occupational categories, though EHS manager eligibility depends on the specific job duties and credentials.
Which cities in Florida have the most EHS manager sponsorship jobs?
Tampa and Orlando account for the highest concentration of EHS manager sponsorship activity in Florida, driven by manufacturing, aerospace, and healthcare employers in both metros. Jacksonville's port and industrial corridor generates steady EHS demand, particularly in logistics and chemical handling. Miami sees EHS roles primarily in construction and facilities management. Smaller industrial clusters around Pensacola and Lakeland also produce sponsorship opportunities, especially tied to defense and agricultural processing operations.
How to find ehs manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for EHS manager roles where Florida employers have demonstrated willingness to sponsor work visas, saving you time that would otherwise go toward screening out non-sponsoring postings. Because EHS is a credentialed, degree-required field, many qualifying roles do appear on Migrate Mate's board. Pairing that with direct outreach to Florida's aerospace, chemical, and construction employers who have a documented H-1B filing history gives you the strongest starting point.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for EHS managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B EHS manager roles are determined by the Department of Labor using Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Jacksonville wage surveys, and wages vary meaningfully between those metros. Florida also has a large OSHA-regulated construction and phosphate mining sector that creates ongoing EHS demand but often hires contractors rather than direct employees, which can complicate sponsorship. Candidates with NEBOSH, CSP, or CIH certifications are generally viewed more favorably by Florida employers evaluating whether a role qualifies as a specialty occupation.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored ehs manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
